The new changes to attributes are now available. Weapons vary on which will benefit from each attribute. This new change should allow players to use weapons long making diversity of builds more viable.

Extended Demo?

Why did the streamer shoutout come early in this Devlog. Ninjamachine was streaming when Vamps-Imulator was revealed that the intended end of the demo could be skipped. Although the full game isn't available, the "thanks for playing screen" could be circumvented and you could resume hunting and leveling up and gathering better equipment (full version items, skills and crafting are still disabled in the demo). Instead of outright disallowing this from happening, here it how to perform the skip. After completing the "the last hunt of the demo" and being warned of the invasion, save the game before entering the invasion. Complete the invasion (win or lose) and return to the main screen. On the main screen load your save file and resume playing where you left off. The game will allow you to play on that save file for 30 minutes of total playtime before kicking you back to the main screen but hopefully this is enough to get a feel for the game.

Summon changes:

There appeared to be confusion regarding the use of summons in Vamps-Imulator. The purpose becomes clear upon entering the invasion but players felt that they should have the option to use the summons as they see fit. Vamps-Imulator is a game about balance, once being introduced to the mechanics, the player should understand the risk of the options in front of them and make the choices as they see fit. For that reason, summons can now be called to support you during a hunt. The new ability "Combative Summoning" is required to be able to do it and it costs a staggering 500 blood, but players no longer need to hunt alone.

Although the game is almost in a functioning state and theoretically, a player maybe able to beat the game, there is much work to be done. The general mechanics are most of the way working and a complete route is just shy of existing. Some of these features or functions may not be accessible in the demo as they will only occur after the events of the demo. The game will still take time to develop to allow for many diverse builds to be viable, balancing and of course bug fixing. Below are some of the areas where the game has been improved.

A unique encounter:

The hunts are set to be random and unique while interacting with villagers and hunters based upon previous interactions with the world. In order to prevent it from feeling to repetitive, a unique encounter was added that is entirely random. A new unique hunter has been added that is not only stronger but can disengage from the fight and leave you wounded and empty handed.

Improved attributes:

Many players assumed that attributes contributed to the players damage in some way. This hasn't been the case up until now. To further diversify the builds available, attributes will now directly give bonuses to weapons. The catch is that while knives and daggers scale with your dexterity, swords and axes will not (they will scale with strength instead). All weapons will still have a dexterity requirement in order to equip but only some will benefit directly from that attribute.

Player portraits:

Player portraits are limited in quantity as it hasn't been the highest in priority. Soon more portraits will become available to allow players to pick that vampire appearance the really speaks to them
