This patch addresses the problems with the game Settings Menu and the following systems should now be working as intended:
Bug Fixes
If the game does not automatically update to V1.02 please try forcing an update by switching to Offline on the Steam client and then going back Online again.
This patch address's all of the Settings Menu functionality problems that some users had reported. We apologize for any inconvenience these Settings issues caused to users and we hope you can now enjoy Assault On Proxima with full Settings functionality.

Assault On Proxima entered full release on Steam this week. Unfortunately we discovered a long running issue with the Back End Configuration inside Steam which was causing some users to be delivered an incorrect ( older ) version of the game.
Patch V1.01 has been applied, and the issue is now fixed.
The Steam Client should automatically update your game to the latest version.
When launching the game please Check the Version number at the top left corner of the Main Menu.
It should read: Release V1.01
If for any reason it does not, please close the game and force an update by:
You should then see the "Play" button turn blue and say Update, and the game should update, correctly
installing Version 1.01 on your computer.
If anyone encounters ongoing issues or other bugs please do report them in the Steam community forum for AoP.

Today, March 10th 2025, Assault On Proxima is entering Full Release on Steam after 1.5 years in Early Access!
In the one and a bit years that AoP has been on Steam Delta Video Games has been very pleased to share the game with our players. Now it's time for Assault On Proxima to enter a new phase!
Between the initial Early Access Release and Version 1.0 Full Release on Steam we've made some improvements to the game:
Assault On Proxima in Full Release in March 2025 is an over all improved game to our initial Early Access version!
I'm Dyoto Orion, the Lead Developer at Delta Video Games, and I want to be 100% honest with our players about the development cycle and future of Assault On Proxima.
When we released AoP into Steam Early Access in May 2023 my team and I had a lot of ambitions and goals for Assault On Proxima, including adding many more features and an additional 5 gameplay levels to add an Act 2 to the game. I'm sorry to say that Delta Video Games, over the last 1.5 years, was not able to realize those goals. That's not due to lack of trying, or effort, but just because of minimal resources and budget.
In August 2023, Delta Video Games development focus shifted to our forthcoming fantasy RPG: Mythrealm. Because of that we weren't able to devote as much time to developing AoP. After some deliberation we decided to move Assault On Proxima to full release as it is, so that our team can focus on our next game.

Assault On Proxima released into Steam Early Access last month on the 13th of May 2023 and we were really pleased to release the game then. We feel that Assault On Proxima in Early Access delivers an exciting and enjoyable Sci-Fi First Person Shooter experience. But it's important to understand that this is only the beginning of our adventures to the Proxima Centauri system and it has always been our ambition and objective to continue developing and expanding Assault On Proxima so that it really contains enough content to engage you, the player, in the full experience of this space adventure!
The Early Access version of Assault On Proxima contains 5 Campaign Game Levels (Singleplayer or up to 4 Player Cooperative) and 3 Player Vs Player Maps. But this initial content offering really only represents about half of what we intend to include in the final game. As we promised at the end of Act 1 our intention is to add a Second Act to the Assault On Proxima campaign for the full release of the game. But that's not all, we also intend to add more PvP Maps and Game Modes and also a Cooperative Horde Mode where you fight to survive against waves of Gacrux baddies!
So to let you all know our plans for the game and what updates you can expect to see this year please check out the Assault On Proxima 2023 Future Updates roadmap presented below!

We've got tons of cool things in the works for Assault On Proxima and we're really looking forward
to sharing these awesome improvements to the game with you as this year progresses! A patch will be dropping this week which will add Full Controller Support (Apologies it's a tad late.)
Act 2 of Assault On Proxima will feature an adventure aboard a Gacrux Battleship. A battle across a Gacrux Shipyard on Proxima B, and combat against a huge Gacrux Leader!

A big thank you to all the wonderful people who have made community content (Videos, Reviews, Community Feedback) for Assault On Proxima too! It's great fun for us to to see people enjoying the game! Just wanna let you all know that profits from sales are going right back into development and helping us make more amazing content for Assault On Proxima. So thanks for all your support!
Today I want to share with you all what we're working on and also direct you to our 2023 Future Updates ( Coming next week) that details the awesome updates you can expect to be added to the game in the near future and on our journey towards a full release of Assault Of Proxima towards the end of 2023.
After the release of AOP last month, we were a bit tired, so we took a break. But now we're back to bug fixing and creating more cool stuff! We have an upcoming patch in the works, which will drop in about a week from now. Here's what you can expect from the forthcoming patch:
Upgraded Content
- Full Controller Support.
- Improved Character Selection Screen.
- More UI Improvements.
- A Range of Sound Upgrades, Improvements and Fixes.
Bug Fixes
- Fix to the issue that caused Reloading to be interupted by Sprinting.
- Fix to the issue that opening Chat made Character Class Selection impossible.
- And more small fixes!
This next patch should be dropping around the 20th of June, or as soon as possible!
And then after the next patch we'll be continuing to improve and upgrade Assault On Proxima at least until November 2023 for the full release, and hopefully beyond! The new content you can expect to see this year will be detailed in another post here on Steam this week entitled: Future Updates! - 2023. Check out that announcement here on Steam later this week!
Overall it has been a fantastic and super fun experience for everyone at Delta Video Games to
release Assault On Proxima onto Steam Early Access. We're super pleased that people have enjoyed the game so far, and overall the launch has gone great!
As we continue to develop Assault On Proxima this year we will continue to listen to and act upon community feedback about how you want the game to evolve, the things we need to improve and the things we need to fix! As always player feedback has been incredibly useful to us and we're really grateful when people take the time to share their experience and suggestions with us at Delta Video Games.

Hi Assault On Proxima players. We've just deployed Hotfix Version 1.02 to the game. This hotfix fixes a few bugs that sneaked into the release version of the game. The fixes are as follows: - Fix to Navigation Mesh in Level 04 to fix the problem of some enemies that did not move.

- Fix to Navigation Mesh in Level 04 to fix the problem of some enemies that did not move.
- Fix to faulty Aim Down Sights on one of the player guns.
- Fixed a broken hit decal on the Heavy Rocket Launcher.
- Moved explosive Barrels away from the Gacrux Transport ship in Level 03 to stop them blowing it up before intended.
- Improvements to game audio.

We're working hard on developing Assault On Proxima, hopefully for a Early Access Release in April 2023! Be sure to Wishlist the game so that you are notified when AOP releases!
In the meantime, we've added some great new features to the FREE Demo, including updated gameplay functionality and visual effects, a brand new Capture The Flag map, and lots of bug fixes.
The Changelist / Patch Notes for the Assault On Proxima Free Game Demo are as follows:
Content
- New Capture The Flag map! - The old CTF Map has been replaced with a new and more exciting map that is designed to get players into PvP action faster! Check out the Screenshots for a peak at the new Capture the Flag PvP map!
- Jump Pads are now featured in the Capture The Flag map. Jump Pads will play a big part in the released game content.
- Accelerator Portals are now featured in the Capture The Flag map. Like Jump Pads but horizontal.
- Radar! A Short Range Radar that spots enemies and helps locate team mates has been added to the in game Heads Up Display (HUD).
- Force Shields! The Player health has been split up into Armour and Shield (was previously only armour)
This change reduces the downtime between fights, but instead requires the player to manage their armour by collecting medical kits from around the game levels, or from a Medic Class.
- Gacrux ranged enemies now have Force Shields!
- Armour Pickups can now be found around all game levels.
Visual Effects
- Force Shield visual effects have been added to the game!
- Dead enemies now dissolve out of existence with a cool VFX, instead of just dissapearing.
- Dropped packs from Class Skills now feature a Light to help identify and locate them.
Bug Fixes
- The Player Count on Online Co-Op and PvP Server List now correctly lists the number of players currently in that server.
- Movement Inputs ( WASD ) should no longer get stuck on death. ( If this bug does re-occur, pressing the stuck movement key still fixes it. )
- Monster vocalisations and sounds should now replicate to all Clients in online Co-Op. Hopefully the days of silent anklebiters are behind us. :P
- Level 02 Start Cinematic no longer quickly restarts when playing.
- Dead Aliens should no longer continue making noises.
- Campaign Objective icons should now be visible to all players in online Co-Op.
General Improvements
- Melee Enemies now attack from further away from the player. Melee enemies no longer consistently get right up close, and should now attack from a reasonable range. Less anklebiting should occur.
- The Power Sword sidearm has had it's animations significantly improved and it's damage buffed to make it a lethal close range weapon, and a viable alternative to the pistols.
- Campaign objective icons have been improved.
- Melee Enemies can now be Headshot.
