Notes:
Fixed Bugs -

Achievements were not activated when they should (Including "End of a journey" and "Absolute machine") - Fixed
Performance improvements - Specifically player statistics and achievement systems.
New Achievements
Three new achievements have also been added to the roster. These include:

Button Private
Button Sergeant
Button Captain
These are rewarded for reaching Button ranks 10, 20 and 30.

I've just released a Hotfix patch addressing a number of small bugs and balance issues.
Check out the patch notes below for a full breakdown :)
Notes:
Fixed Bugs -

Pause menu could be triggered while in module menu - Fixed
Resolution and full screen settings not saving and failing to apply - Fixed
Options/Playbox buttons could be re-positioned while turret lock is active - Fixed
Dodge perk failed to activate - Fixed
Button Pop FX not triggering - Fixed
Balance -

Baby button difficulty - Base mission completion reward has been increased to 2500 parts (Was 1000 parts).
Baby button difficulty - Mission completion coin division value has been lowered to 1500 (Was 2500). e.g., 100,000 coins = 67 Parts.
Baby button + A Button difficulty - Enemy health and damage has been reduced by 10%.
Coin Factory - (Factory level 1) Coin generation has been increased to 15 coins per sec (Was 10).
There has been a small reduction in the coins required to level the button up (Button levels 3 - 5).
A handful of the modules have had their values revised.

I have just released a small patch implementing game speed buttons, balance tweaks and a variety of bug fixes.
Check out the patch notes below for a full breakdown :D
Notes:
Fixed Bugs -

Enemy optimisation has been improved.
UI optimisation has been improved + the overall memory footprint of textures has been reduced.
Ui not animating properly/ timing being off - Fixed
Difficulty value rarely not passing over from tutorial to next level - Fixed
Options menu not opening - Fixed
New Features/ QOl features -

Game play speed Button - Just below the wave meter, a row of buttons has been added. These buttons can be used to control the play speed of the battle. In addition to the buttons, Hotkeys + and - can be used to increase and lower the current speed.
Enemy buttons move less when clicked on.
Balance -

Baby button - Enemies health has been significantly lowered, and the overall spawn rate has been lowered slightly.

Baby button - Enemies will no longer rank up randomly (Can only rank up do to boss abilities).
A Button - Enemies health has been lowered slightly.
It now takes less clicks to activate a streak. It now takes roughly 20 clicks achieve a 2X streak/ multiplier.

Hey folks!
I hope you are enjoying Button Pop so far.
The Module Evolution Update has arrived, and I have heard you loud and clear! There have been some issues with balancing/ difficulty and the new Module Evolution aims to correct that! Not only will this introduce fixes for the enemies and economy. It includes free content in the form of powerful new module upgrades and a complete re-vamp to the module page system.
New stuff:
Module Tree
The module system/ pages have been completely rebuilt and are now presented as a module tree, Split into Defence, Utility, and Attack.
All modules are now visible on a single page, making it easier to strategize and mix/match abilities and builds.
New Module upgrades
We can't have a new module tree without some new modules! There will be 9 new modules, spanning from upgrades that boost the efficiency utilities to the ability to grab the enemies and crush them before they get away.

Grab - Grab and hold enemies by clicking on them! Fling them around like grenades.
Money Grab - If an enemy dies while grabbed, their money bag will fall out.
Grab Drain - While an enemy is grabbed, their health will slowly be drained.
Blocker - Place a solid block and change the route of the enemies!
Auto Pop - If yah have some energy and a Pop streak the Button will continue to pop at the last Pop per sec rate. If the Button is left Idle for more than 10 seconds, this rate will slowly reduce.
PPM RPM - The fire rate of turrets is increased based on the current Pop Per Minute.
Energy Surplus - When there is a surplus of energy, Coin factories are twice as efficient.
Share Care - Placing turrets near Energy Generators decreases the turret's energy use by 20%. Placing turrets near Coin factories increases the turret's coins per kill by 20%. This is indicated by a stroked line linking the turret and utility together.
Pop Per Kill - Every kill will Pop the Button (this will affect the pop streak).
Pop Per Hit - Every time an enemy takes any damage, the Button will be Popped (this will affect the pop streak).
Settings and Playbox Buttons
The settings and Playbox buttons are now movable. After receiving some feedback, some players found it too easy to mistakenly press the settings or playbox buttons while in the heat of battle. To combat this. Both of the buttons have been slightly scaled down and can now be re-positioned at any time during mission playthroughs (they can also be stuck to walls).
New Tutorial tweaks
I have heard you! And I wanted to update the tutorial to reflect the full game experience. Along with the new module system being introduced to the tutorial. Automation has been given a bigger focus and several additional topics such as upgrades and crate spawns have been added to the tutorial level as well.
Mission Speed controls
Game speed controls have been added, allowing you trigger slow motion, fast forward (1.5 x game time) and Super fast forward (2 x game speed).
Hotkeys: + and - (Numpad) can be used to manipulate the speed controls. The current speed will be reflected in the world and a small speed icon below the wave meter.
Difficulty and Balance
Another thing this update will be addressing is the overall difficulty and balance of the early game. I will continue to monitor and tweak this area, however, I have taken on your feedback and introduced a number of fixes to ensure Button Pop is more enjoyable, for more players.
Balance notes

Button Level 1-5 has been lowered. Building the first two turrets and two utility pads should be a lot quicker now, creating a stronger defense earlier in the game.
It is now cheaper to build coin factories and energy generators.
(Baby Button)' Enemies' health and damage have been reduced.
Turrets now earn kill streaks. These streaks will contribute to the Pop Streak, lowering the need to pop the button.
Time in the "Safe" stage has been reduced and time in the "Incoming" stage has been increased. This is to increase the overall time given to move turrets, while the incoming arrows are visible.
Death penalties have been vastly reduced/ removed.
Enemies have been made easier to click on.
Clicking on enemies now does damage as default. This damage can be increased via module upgrades.
Spawn rates have been slightly reduced on a number of the missions.
The unlock order of the turrets and utilities has been revised. Utilities will be unlocked first, before turrets, to allow players to form a solid economic/ automation base.
A new Hotkey is now available to activate the defence window (build walls, mines, molotovs etc). Hotkey - ALT.
A new Hotkey is now available to revert Options and Playbox to default positions. HotKey - Backspace
Bug Fixes

Lighting issue on tutorial level - Fixed
Negative coin values after passing engine integer limitation. The maximum coins that can now be earned per level has been set to 1 billion.
Walls would sometimes double hit enemies - Fixed
Macro limiter - Fixed
Crates sometimes fall out of bounds after opening - Fixed
Restart level, Ui issue - Fixed

I hope you are enjoying Button Pop so far.
Button Pops first major update, the Module Evolution is right around the corner! It brings a rework of the module page system, 10 new modules, and a re-balance to the enemy's difficulty and experience regarding popping the button/ earning coins.
The update is currently in its final test stages and is planned to be released in the coming days :)

Fixed Bugs -

Hats and Button related achievements issue - Fixed.
Main menu Ui elements getting stuck (Mission Rewards) - Fixed
Coin factory destroy Bug - Fixed
Difficulty window grammar - Fixed
New Features/ QOl features -

You can now right-click to cancel the purchase and placement of defenses (Molotov's, walls, mines, etc). However, holding right click can still be used to move.
Skip Button added to the coin/ parts calculation screen.
A new puzzle has been added to the game, specifically in the arcade mission. Completing this puzzle will unlock the gamer headset.
Balance -

Small tweak to the initial acceleration of button streaks.

A small patch has also just been released to bring the Demo up to scratch with the features available in the full game, check out the notes below for more details!
Fixed Bugs -

AI getting stuck - Fixed.
Difficulty select windows remaining on screen even after confirming selection - Fixed
New Features -

Auto Popper Module.
Cursor Colour setting (accessibility).
New sections added to the tutorial, further explaining some the game mechanics.
Balance-

Clicking on enemies now does damage by default and this can be upgrades via modules/ perks.
The hover area has been widened so it is easier to click on smaller enemies.
The start wave objective "Earn 500 coins" has been lowered to 300.
The overall time it takes for enemies to reach the combat zone has been reduced and bosses speed less time outside the combat zone after running away.
Coins earned from kills have been increased overall.
Small tweaks to the values required to unlock perk tiers.
The healthy button module has now been split into 3 modules, that are available over multiple module pages for further health upgrades.
Looking forward -
Within the coming weeks, after launch, I'll be looking to further improve the overall game experience and content available. Your feedback will drive these developments and I very much appropriate your input! :)

The module pages will be overhauled, with a new design that will allow all modules to be visible on a single page.

We recently released a few small updates for the Demo fixing a number of bugs and adding a few features.

Notes:
Fixed Bugs -

Achievement earned at the wrong time - Fixed.
Options menus could get stuck / overlap each other - Fixed
Difficulty window, after completing a mission could get stuck on screen - Fixed.
FPS limit is now the correct order.
Hold click time for defence window has been increased.
Tutorial Coin factory soft lock - Fixed
Launching Steam VR - Fixed
Auto Drift set to off as default - Fixed
New Features -

Hot-keys for Defences - 1 = Current Aggressive defence (Molotov, mines etc). 2 = Passive defence (Walls, Springboards etc).
Hot-keys for Abilities - 3 = Health Ability. 4 = Attack Ability. 5 = Utility Ability.
Mission select window will now remember your last played mission and will automatically open on the next available mission if the previous one has been completed. (This will be reset if the player goes back to a previous mission).
Option to switch Left mouse hold with Right Mouse hold (to open the defence window) has been added. Check the control options.
Control panel has been updated with hotkeys.
WASD can now be used for movement, as a secondary option.
A and D can be used to flick through some menus (Left to right).
Option to disable screen shake has been added.
Colour scheme has been tweaked (UI only).
UI Buttons will no longer "Wiggle" on there own and will now only wiggle when hovered.
HP bars for Turrets and Utilities can now be viewed by hovering over them.
Balance -

Minis have been slightly scaled up and will get larger as they rank up.
Minis have been slightly slowed down overall.
The overall interact-able area under the cursors has been increased to make it easier to Pop the enemy units.

New Stuff -
With this announcement, we have also launched a few new updates to the Steam page, plus
we have updated our trailer with some shiny new footage!
Additionally, we have released a new update to the demo that introduces new info layouts to the difficulty select window, the Buttonpedia has been fleshed out with more information and bar graphs, the final customisation roster has been added and a new credits level is now accessible.
Difficulty select-
The new difficulty select window is now available, with additional "hover" icons for more information that highlights how each difficulty affects the gameplay.
Buttonpedia-
In addition to having a small breakdown of a turrets/Utilities attributes we have added a detailed bar graph window for further information. Just pop the bar graph button and take a look!

Hello there!
With this next update we will be introducing a whole new skill tree and button rank system that will allow players to incrementally progress, upgrade and create their own "Button Build".
New Perk trees -
The perk trees are broken down into POP, Build and Survive. Each tree will promote a certain play styles and enhance particular areas of the coin and defence production.
We are closing in -
The final game is getting very close to the finish line, making leaps and bounds every day, with just a handful of features left to be fully tested (as of writing these notes).
We have also updated the Steam page with more up-to-date images and Gifs.
Plus a full rework of our description, bringing them more in line with the final game and making them Pop!
The feedback and support for Button Pops development has been amazing. Thank you!
We will be announcing a release date very soon with a new trailer, so keep your eyes open.

Button Pop Demo Patch 1.04
Notes:
Fixed Bugs -

Tutorial getting stuck at certain stages - Fixed.
Slow mo effect constantly active when placing defence - Fixed (lasts a short time).
Some small enemies getting stuck on terrian - Fixed.
Enemy performance increase (especially on later levels with moving platforms).
Coin factories and energy generators performance increase (FPS).
New Features -

Button ranks.
Baby Button safe stage count down timer implemented.
Enemy spawn location will now unlock based on curated patterns with multiple possible outcomes.
Repair has now been moved to a select rather than hover to present. The cost of a repair is also relative to the overall cost of the turret level.
New saves seperate the Demo from the Full game.
Perk trees and skill points.
Coins are now converted to "Parts". Parts are used to purchase customisation items.
On death, parts are calculated at a lower rate, rather than the player receiving no reward.
Achievements are now active! (Demo version has restrictions).
Additional customisation items (Viewable in demo).
Continue to next mission now implemented (Demo - Restricted to the Tutotial and Green meadows).
Balance-

End reward values have been rebalanced i.e. more parts will be rewarded per victory.
Turrets and enemies are rebalanced (especially spawn rates). "A button difficulty" should be easier overall.
Safe status has had an increase in time (Baby Button and A Button).
Small tweaks to the efficiency of energy generators and coin factories.
All bosses have had a small reduction in health, reducing the time taken on the final wave.
All wave timers have been tweaked so that levels can be completed slightly faster.

Expanding difficulty information (In the mission select window).
Final release date announcement and trailer.

Pressing escape while in buttonpedia would pull up the options panel behind the current window - fixed.
Audio doubling up on main menu - fixed

Enemy ranks have been expanded: Regular and Mini clickers can bring more weapons and armour/ shields to the battle, Increasing there damage, health and armour.
New modules such as Auto clicker, laser turrets, shock turrets and damage per click and now available!
Additional customisation items (Viewable in demo).
Small sections added to the tutorial explaining streaks, turret lock, Settings options and more.
All enemies and turrets performance has been revised and improved. Performance overall should be increased!
Bodies of fallen Bosses will now feature on the main menu.
Pick-a button zoom in and rotate function is now active.
Balance-

Turrets react faster
Mini and regular clickers have been scaled up slightly (Physical size increase).
Wall defences have had there health increase overall.
Bolters damage and fire rates have been adjusted to let lower tier enemies survive slightly longer.
Looking forward -

Fleshing out information in buttonpedia.
Expanding difficulty information (In the mission select window).
We are currently working on a persistent progression system, that allows the player earn skill points that can be used to unlock perks to form a "Button Build" that complements an individuals play style.

Button pressing should feel smoother and more responsive.
Boss could sit still for no reason, fixed.
Stuck on infinite loading screen, fixed.
Tutorial presentation bugs (Sometimes info bubbles would stick around when they should have been removed).
Button would disable when energy hit zero, fixed.
New Features -

Upgrade and build info (On hovering a build option Eg. Bolter, two smaller bubble pop up showing the difference in energy and damage after purchase or upgrade.
Accessibility Setting (options) -

Colour blind options
Hold button Toggle (Instead of Key Mashing)
Hold Mouse Toggle (Instead of clicking)
Incoming indicator arrows have been moved to the "Incoming stage" and made more visible.
Options to change the difficulty after death have been added.
Super Sampling Setting (Up to 200%)
Balance-

Enemy numbers have been tweaked, introducing a "Spawn curve" as the game develops (Only applies to Baby Button and A Button difficulties)
If the player is struggling early on in the a mission, crates will spawn to help them out (only on A Button difficulty)

Camera rotation now working as intended.
Resolution setting not saving/ not applying in settings panel, fixed and on first play will auto pick highest resolution for current monitor.
Performance -

Improvements to FX and explosions.
Ai and general enemy optimisation.
LODs activated on all models (previously, some assets where not working).
Lighting -

The lighting model has been tweaked so that shadows on smaller enemies render at greater distances (Ultra Shadow setting)
