Get ready for a fiendish free update to our Castle Doombad Demo -- including the addition of Mouse+Keyboard support! Here's what's new:

New Mouse+Keyboard support! Two control modes for mouse+keyboard have been added and can be swapped between in the pause->settings screen. (The two new mouse control modes include a "Cursor Follow" mode, where your ghostly player character follows your cursor, and "Direct Control" mode where Ghostie is your cursor! In both modes you can use either Q and E, the arrow keys, or your mouse wheel to switch between traps.)
Performance improvements across the board have been applied
Brand new control mode selection screen has been added for Co-Op! (You can even mix-n-match between mouse+keyboard controls and controllers between the two players) And don't forget to try out the supported Remote Play feature to play with your friends online!
Rebalanced overall game difficulty and pacing to be slightly slower and allow a little more time for strategic thinking
Fixed various bugs, including issues that caused the Slimy Tentacles to sometimes stop attacking and the Pirate Cannonball to sometimes miss heroes
Though we had previously planned to have our Demo's availability be limited to last year's Halloween event, we've now decided to leave it available for the time being. We'll post an announcement if this changes. Thank you for playing!

We've released a small patch for the Castle Doombad Demo (patch notes below) and also wanted to inform you that it's your LAST CHANCE to play! The Demo will be removed from Steam after Sunday, November 5th. Even if you've already downloaded the demo, it will no longer be able to be launched after this weekend.
Please note that this demo was intended as a limited time "sneak peek" (and as a Halloween treat for our fans and players) of an unfinished and Work In Progress game. We may consider releasing a new and updated demo in the future, but we have not yet decided on that at this time.
We hope you had a chance to enjoy this sneak peek of Castle Doombad, and thank you for playing!
We would also love to hear your feedback on the demo, and will be reviewing it closely to help guide development going forward. Castle Doombad "Sneak Peek Demo" 11/6/23 Patch Notes:

Added a "restart" button to the pause screen, allowing players to quickly retry a stage at any point during play
Fixed a bug where sometimes Ghostie's "phase" ability (moving through walls) would stop working mid-stage
Fixed an issues where sometimes certain controllers would not be detected when launching the game
