If you have not heard of Forward: Escape the Fold - it's a card-based roguelike where you must continuously go FORWARD in order to escape the dungeons. The game was released in March and stands at a "Very Positive" rating on Steam (with 400+ reviews). You can try it out here!
To celebrate the Ultimate Edition of the game, I have added to the game an EXCLUSIVE challenge to the game themed around Halloween. This is a permanent event!
The challenge will consist in a 4 starting item build:

Living Heart: Replaces all Heart cards with item cards
Monster Skull: Adds 3 enemies in all future levels
Monster Bone (x2): Gives -1 to enemy cards
Healing Ring: After using your power, you heal by 4HP
Successfully winning this challenge will award the player a NEW object card: the Jack-O'-Lantern

It's been a while since the game got updated - the waiting ends NOW!
This update brings all the content I really wanted to bring the game and that I couldn't include earlier. Without further ado, here are the update notes:

1 NEW Character with 3 unique powers
14 NEW items
3 NEW Challenges
1 NEW Status Recovery
Some NEW secrets (I hope you find it!)
a LOT of balancing from characters to items and powers
This update signals the ultimate version of the game - meaning, I believe I have built the game I wanted to make and will be creating very little new content from this point onwards. I will happily fix the game if needed but will be focusing my attention on my next game!
In addition, as I discussed on DIscord, in the near future there will be a mobile port of the game! Keep your eyes peeled for that :)

You can now use Space to trigger the power and skip story (if keyboard controls are enabled).
Enemies can no longer appear on the last two rows before the boss.
The visualization of the selected power is more explicit.
Balancing:

[Anubis] Rework Transmutation power.
[Azerty] Iron block new gives 7 armor durability instead of 10.
[Phade] Starts with 14 HP instead of 15 and 2 armor.
[???] Tornado power makes more different cards appear.
Bug fix:

“Increase in Power” now doubles values correctly.
“Return” power with “power ring” could sometimes leave the path empty.
The statuses are triggered correctly in the tuto and the “mini-levels”.
Correction of (too many) spelling mistakes.

First Update - Fixing some player issues and some more balancing!
First update since the release of the game. It adds few features and mostly fixes bugs and character balancing. I'll be making more of theses updates to keep the game balanced and will be adding more content soon! New features New item: Vitality Dagger New experimental setting al
First update since the release of the game. It adds few features and mostly fixes bugs and character balancing. I'll be making more of theses updates to keep the game balanced and will be adding more content soon!
New features

New item: Vitality Dagger
New experimental setting allowing to right click on a card to move on it.
New experimental setting allowing to use keyboard to move.
Chests/stores no longer trigger statuses.
Chests will always have different cards.
Clearer pause menu buttons.
Bosses always drop heart card.
Statuses can no longer exceed 999.
Personal best score at the end of the game.
Rework “So close” achievement.
New changelog screen.
Balancing
Phade:

+3 HP
Absorption now costs 5 instead of 6 and absorbs 3 health points instead of 2.
Anubis:

+1 HP
Silence:

Starts with an additional item: Vitality Dagger
Azerty

Starts with 24 armor instead of 20.
Iron block item now gives 10 armor instead of 6.
Beat the iron power now changes 4 random cards instead of 2.
Repair power become Heart of steel with a totally different effect.
Bug fix
It was sometimes impossible to start a level (bug with the amber item and the immunity status).
Correction of (too many) spelling mistakes.
I have more exciting content on the way! All this feedback has been so motivating for me and I can't see myself stopping updating the game anytime soon :)
