Here are the fixes, additions & improvements for this month's patch:

💾Added a new check to detect unsaved map changes when editing characters during map building: Players will now get a warning to save their map changes when editing characters without fear of losing their map-building progress. This new safeguard ensures your hard work on maps remains intact, even if you need to tweak your miniatures mid-session.
🖌️Fixed an issue causing the map brush to get stuck when switching to the character editor: Editing characters during map building will now behave as intended, disabling the brush inside the character editor.
🔊 Adjusted sound mixing for the tutorial Adjusted the loudness of various sound files during the tutorial mission.
🧟 Reintroduced the Zombie Soldier and Undead Fighter miniatures to the map builder Back by popular demand (or better said: fixed thanks to your reports)! The undead are once again available for all your necromantic (or apocalyptic) encounter designs.
🔧 Fixed a Bug where the character editor UI was sometimes not visible in VR

📝Upgraded Character Sheets
The character and monster sheets have received major upgrades in version 0.8!
Now, you can roll your attacks, actions, and spells with just one click—including monster actions!
Here’s how it works:

Select your action and press "Use": The roll-to-hit is automatically calculated for you.
Roll damage directly: After the to-hit roll, the result window allows you to roll damage (including automatic critical hit doubling!)
Shared Results: The results are posted in the chat for your party members to see.
Want to cast a spell? Just press "Use" to roll it instantly!
Want to attack? Same process—just one click!
We’ve also improved all 5e monster sheets included in DFD to fully integrate with the new system. At the same time, we’re continuing to enhance DFD’s automation features so we look forward to your feedback!
🧝Beginner's Story
With Update 0.8 we’re thrilled to release the fully voice-acted DFD onboarding experience for mouse and keyboard!
This unique onboarding process is designed to introduce new players to the game, helping them learn the ropes in a short tutorial mission. But whether you’re a first-time adventurer or simply revisiting the basics: this onboarding mission will set the stage for your journey ahead!

🆕More Features, Improvements, and Fixes!
With the launch of the 0.8 Update, a wide variety of new features and improvements have been introduced. Here’s the full list:

Added a new map-saving system that detects changes automatically and asks you to save Never lose your map-building progress again! This feature ensures your hard work is always saved.
Added an option for the terrain editing tool to avoid moving assets while terraforming Trying to create an overgrown ruin look? Now you can toggle whether assets move when using the terrain brush!
Added the ability for spells to be cast at different levels Spells now use the correct spell slots and scale the damage dice accordingly, adding more flexibility to your spellcasting!
Added a UI indicator in the character sheet to display the cost of an action Actions, bonus actions, and reactions are now clearly labeled for easier usability during combat.
⬆️Additional Fixes and Improvements:

Fixed a bug where placing one miniature would result in multiple miniatures being placed.
Various UI design adjustments to improve readability and aesthetics.
Fixed multiple UI overlapping issues.
Improved menu flow in the main menu.
Enhanced the visuals for dice-throwing animations and display text.
Added a new help button that provides explanations for the currently open screen.
Fixed a bug where the possess tool displayed incorrect button descriptions.
Corrected issues with monster sheets not displaying correctly or containing incorrect data.
Fixed various character sheet-related issues where data was not loaded or saved properly.

Update 0.8 is currently in the final internal testing phase, and the release is scheduled for THIS month!
Here’s what’s waiting for you in the 0.8 update:
📝 The New Character Sheets!
The character and monster sheets have received major upgrades in version 0.8!
Now, you can roll your attacks, actions, and spells with just one click—including monster actions!
Here’s how it works:

🆕 What to Expect in Update 0.8
📝 Rollable, Automated Attacks and Spells
One of the most exciting additions in Update 0.8 is the introduction of rollable Attacks and Spells.
Barbarians, rejoice! Even less math needed to play DFD!

Want to roll an attack? Just press "Attack," and your proficiency is automatically calculated.
Need to roll damage? It’s just one click away!
Casting a spell? The damage roll is automatically determined based on the spell level!
We are continuously working on the automation side of things for DFD and we are looking forward to hearing your feedback on these upcoming first steps towards this direction.
🧝A Singleplayer Mission for Beginners?!
Wait, what? Singleplayer? Can I now play DFD without a GM? Well... yes and no.
Based on the feedback from our recent Player Survey, many of you have been asking for a tutorial. So, in Update 0.8, we've prepared something special just for you:
We've added a brand-new Singleplayer Beginner's Mission designed to provide new players with an excellent introduction to DFD and its tools!
For our seasoned players, we're also working on adding additional tooltips and information that can be accessed during gameplay.

Update 0.8 is currently in full-force development, and we're aiming for a release in Q4 this year—specifically, this November.

🌐Visual Grid Tool
The new visual grid tool makes combat even easier by allowing you to display a 5-foot grid on any map.
Toggleable visual grid

Automatically Measure Distances when moving your miniature
Additionally, you can also enable the new "Auto Meassure" feature, to start measuring distances for any objects that you pick up. Neat!
🆙 Feature Improvement

📏Improved Readability for the Ruler
The ruler has been improved for better readability. The distance text now scales depending on the distance to the player to be larger when farther away. Additionally, a new outline font is used for better readability
🅰️Improved Readability for Context Menu & Dice Results:
The texts used in both areas now also use the new outline font for better readability.
🧝New Character Assets
With the new 0.7.2 Update, we have added even more versatility to the character editor!

New Beard
The new beard allows for some elegant variety.
New Eyebrows

🔧 Fixed Issues

Fixed a bug, where some network matches were terminated after a short time period due to server issues.
Fixed a bug, where miniatures made with the character editor could fall through floor when picked up during mapbuilding.
Displaying the game on the second screen will no longer stop when closing the sidebar, while inside "Streaming Mode" on Desktop PC. Previously closing the sidebar (or fulldiving into a miniature) would stop the "Streaming Mode" which was not intended.

🎨 New Character Editor Assets
2 new Hairstyles
A new hairstyle that will make your character become the main protagonist of the story. Available for both body types.
2 new Faces
Say hello to the old hag (or the friendly sage) with the new old face options for both male and female body types.
⚙️ Improvements and Fixes
New Features & Improvements
Maps can now save and load the mood & lighting setting that was set while saving the map file.
Death saves have been added to the character sheets. They can be used when the HP of a character goes down to 0 and will correctly react to critical fail or saves. (They can also be added/removed manually)
The LFG Button on PC now opens a confirmation popup before opening Discord
Improved the collider on the "Rock" asset to be more precise. Fixes
Fixed a rare bug where the "Add to Combat" and "Remove from Combat" Button stopped working.
Fixed the icons in the submenu tab for the Miniaturebrowser being offset in VR.
Fixed a visual bug in the public game browser that would show 2 texts on top of each other for the first entry.
Fixed a bug where miniatures could miss animations when possessed by a player that did not spawn them
Fixed potential map migration errors for map files that were created before the Chapter 3 release.
Fixed a bug where objects could get stuck in other players' hands.

🗺️ A New Map: Breeze Islands
"Breeze Island" is a tiny Island notable for its many Windmills. A small market and mountainous terrain offer a good starting point for some adventuring.

Improved sorting logic for entries of the Map Browser. My Maps Tab: Entries are now sorted by last changed ascending. Official Map Tab: Entries are now sorted by name ascending. Public Map Tab: Entries are now sorted by likes descending.

Added a new Info Popup when attempting to access character sheets of miniatures, that are owned by other players.

Having said that, let's get into this week's content:
🗺️New Assets!
1. New Map: Highland Ruins
We have added a brand new map to the official map tab called "Highland Ruins".
In the "Highland Ruins" a mountainous path leads to an ancient ruin that isn't as uninhabited as it initially seems.

2. New Map: Elder Dragons Lair
Expanding on the "Vulcano Map", the "Elder Dragons Lair" Map is the final confrontation with an ancient beast. Multiple paths lead through these dangerous crumbling ruins in the midst of a volcano. The ultimate test of bravery and perseverance!
🔧 Fixed Issues

Fixed a bug where players could get scorpion legs after map change if they were crawling during the map change
Fixed dice, rolled by tabletop players still generating sound effects even when you're in Full Dive mode and unable to see them.
Fixed a rare bug where the hover HP bar could be visible in the main menu

🎲New Features
Miniature Overview List
As a GM, the Miniature Overview List allows you to easily keep track of all the miniatures on the table. With it, you can now:

Jump to the location of miniatures
Keep track of HP of miniatures
Quick-Access character sheets
Quick-Access Full Dive
Quickly add & remove miniatures to the Combat Initiative
For players (Non-GMs), this list is automatically filtered to only display the party members.
New Healthbar System in Tabletop Mode
The new system for healthbars now only displays HP bars in tabletop mode when hovering over a miniature.
As a GM you can switch between the following settings for your Players:

Full For All: All Players (Non-GMs) can see the HP bar on hover, including the exact number values.
Exact Numbers Only For GM: Players will only see the HP bar but no exact numbers
Only For GM: Players will have no info displayed when hovering miniatures
Undo / Redo Tool for Mapbuilder
The highly requested Undo/Redo Tool has been added to the mapbuilder! It allows you to undo OR redo your last map building actions.
Customizeable World & Player View
A new setting has been added to the options: With the world & player visibility setting you can now choose to hide the table and/or the other players depending on your personal preferences.
⚙️Improved Code Modding Support

The coding backend of DFD has been changed from IL2CPP to Mono for better mod support.
Additionally, a first wiki on how to mod DFD was created You can check it out over HERE.
🎵New Music
A new dynamic song has been added to the soundboard! As always, it includes 3 levels of intensity for your GM to dynamically adjust depending on the flow of the campaign.

Tavern Music
🎨New Assets
New Wizard Outfit for humanoid species
The new wizard outfit is here! It includes a new hat, a new chest piece, new gauntlets, and new boots!
6 Clothing Sets for Dragonborns
Six new clothing sets have been added for the Dragonborn species!
Disclaimer: Dragonborn characters that have been created before the Chapter 3 Update must be reconfigured in the Character Editor to work correctly with the new version of the game.
8 new eye sets for Dragonborns
Eight new eye sets have been added to the Dragonborn species,
2 new horns for Dragonborns
You can now choose between two different sets of horns as Dragonborn.
New GM Dice Set
As part of the GM Edition Upgrade, all Players have been rewarded with the GM Edition exclusive "Game Master" Dice set.
New Lorekeeper Dice Set
A new dice set has been added that can be unlocked for free by participating in the lorekeeper community event.

🛠️ Additional Improvements
We have also been doing a lot of miscellaneous improvements on existing features as well as bug fixes. Here is the complete overview of the changes and fixes:
Additional Improvements

New Main Menu design, Play Screen design, animation & music
Improved smoothing brush for terraforming
Added new sound effects for the character editor, map building, UI interactions, and item usages
While in tabletop mode PC players are now prevented from going too far out of bounds.
Added an indication when players are attempting to mapbuild outside of the current table area
Dice are now bigger in PC & VR and scale with you in VR
Added animation when placing map assets
TOTW Oneshot maps are now marked as official
Resolved Bugs

Fixed characters not correctly reacting to the light depending on the selected mood setting
Fixed duplicate ID issues on official maps which caused network interactions not to be shown correctly for certain objects
Fixed terrain issues where terrain disappeared after going into full dive from terraforming
Fixed frame lags in Miniature Browser & Map Browser UIs. You can now browse the mapbrowser even while it's loading new maps.
Fixed character sheet unintentionally opening when writing in chat
Fixed Voice Chat Indicator overlay not correctly showing in PC
Fixed an issue where the only available character was a bear and no new characters could be created
