As development continues on Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks, the project is transitioning into its next phase with a focus on planned systems, upcoming features, and long term support.
Over the past year, we have made steady progress behind the scenes. We listened closely to player feedback, identified core areas that required deeper focus, and began defining a clearer path toward the 1.0 release. This includes new features, expanded content, and priorities shaped directly by the community. Our goal remains the same. Deliver a stronger and more complete version of Arms Trade Tycoon Tanks.
Mod support, one of the most requested features, remains a major pillar of development. Alongside this, we continue to expand the game’s playable content and improve core systems. Today’s update is part of that effort.
New Content Update. French Tanks Added
This update introduces two new French tanks to the game. The Somua S35 and the Hotchkiss H35.
Both vehicles played important roles in early World War II armored warfare and bring distinct gameplay characteristics that expand early and mid tier design options.
The Somua S35 is positioned as a well balanced medium tank. It offers strong armor for its class, solid mobility, and reliable firepower. In gameplay terms, it fills a flexible frontline role and rewards thoughtful design and crew optimization.
The Hotchkiss H35 is a lighter platform focused on durability and compact design. While slower than some light tanks, its armor profile allows it to perform effectively in defensive and support roles. It provides an alternative approach to early armored production and complements existing light tank options.
These tanks are available as part of the current update and are integrated into existing design, production, and testing workflows.
Revised Development Roadmap
Alongside this update, we are sharing a revised Development roadmap.
The roadmap outlines our current development phases, with a strong emphasis on modding foundations, customization, performance improvements, and long term expansion. This roadmap reflects our current priorities and provides a clearer view of where development is heading.
As always, features shown are in development and order or scope may change as work continues.
Modding Portal Preview
Mod support is in active development, and we are now preparing the next step. A new modding portal designed to support creators, administrators, and players.
The portal will provide tools for creating, managing, and testing mods directly within the game ecosystem. This includes support for new content types, expanded customization, and future systems built with modding in mind.
What you see today is a work in progress preview. Limited access testing is planned, and we will share more details as the portal moves closer to release.
