First of all, thank you for your interest in Death Roads: Tournament. Practically a month has passed since the release, and during that time, you have taken part in an AMAZING number of races. You are the best!
Achievements!
To appreciate your efforts, we are introducing... achievements. You asked for this, so there was no choice but to implement it! We hear all your voices, note your comments and consider your opinions. There are 53 of them, so drive (?) them all! In addition, we provide you with collector's cards, backgrounds, emotes, a badge - there's a lot of it on Steam.
Bugs!
We are also aware of the potholes that appeared after releasing the full version of Death Roads: Tournament. Therefore, in addition to the achievements, we are introducing a package of fixes to bugs you reported. We really appreciate your commitment to making the race run smoothly.
For example, what’s fixed?

Garage View swap components with and without cards
Draw pile and discard pile views stays empty if player draw exceeds draw pile
Spotlight card does not change the direction of the attack
Missing text on the component without cards
Cards in players vehicle preview are overlapping
World Map View can not display more scrap then 999
Using cloud save on fresh account forces the player to go through cutscene and tutorial before continuing their run
AC DC Voltmeter adds overload at the wrong moment
Gadget Flask of oblivion does not apply Block satus
In-Game the Reset Progress button does not serve its purpose
The accumulator card does not grant overload apart from the first action
Block generator add 1 block only at 8th drawn card
Vehicle with more than 1 slot of same type causes issues with tooltip in rewards view

First of all, thanks for all your feedback folks! With it, we’ve been able to rework a lot of balance and difficulty issues. We’ve also added a bunch of new stuff that hopefully will improve your game experience and let you blow up your foes in new exciting ways.
Let’s run through the details below:
Major Changes

Flexible movement range - You can now choose a distance you want to travel while performing movement actions stronger than 1. You can also skip any move action entirely while playing a card. This allows for more freedom with positioning.
Handling regeneration - Enemies now regenerate handling at the start of the Player’s turn instead of their own. This way you can now limit the amount of cards the enemies will play during their turn, by reducing their handling without making them skid.
Weapon range highlights - When hovering over an enemy vehicle, you can now see the potential range of all its weapons. The highlighted range of a weapon card is also displayed on the board while hovering over a given weapon card in hand, so you no longer have to activate a card to see where it hits.
Twists and turns on the world map - The roads on the world map are no longer straight, and now look more like actual routes.
Unique body cards - The cards from the body components of all playable cars are now unique to each vehicle, and won’t appear in other components like engines, wheels or accessories. We’ve also reworked most of them to better emphasize different playstyles.
Different driver cards and starting gadgets - All playable drivers now have slightly different cards and starting gadgets, that create better synergies for a given playstyle.
Reworked cards and components - Many of the existing cards and components were changed to be clearer and focus more on a given function in specific decks.
Reworked events - Events now offer better rewards and are less punishing for the Player.
Reworked Challenger AI - Challengers in free for all battles can now attack each other instead of focusing only on the Player.
Rebalance

Vehicles now have different equipment slot types, as well as new starting values of Condition, Armour and Bash Damage.
Many components now give different modicator values.
Some Gadgets values and effects have been changed.
Weapons should now deal more damage in general.
Block and Grip status effects now appear more frequently on different cards.
Rumble status effect stacks amount has been reduced, and its damage is now subtracted from the Block.
Action to move in all directions now appears more frequently on cards.
Action to redraw cards now appears more frequently on cards.
Push action now appears more frequently on cards.
Players now gain more experience points overall, and can progress quicker.
Added Content
New Components

A lot of new Engines, Wheels, Weapons, and Accessories were added. All tuned up, to fit and enhance a specific strategy.

Quite a few new options to gain MORE POWER!!!

The first major content update for Death Roads: Tournament has arrived, and we know you'll like it. However, we warn you that the whole thing has been made available in English so far - other languages will be updated later. We prefer to let you know so that you are not surprised.
Also, if you see any bugs or other issues, let us know whether it's on Steam or Discord. We are at your disposal, and we will be happy to help. Now let's get to the most important thing, which is what Update 1 hides!
Gameplay Changes:

Added a new tab in the settings menu, "Motion Sickness Settings", to address motion sickness issues experienced by some players. Players can now adjust parameters such as motion blur, camera shake, and the number of props appearing on the sidelines of roads to mitigate motion sickness. This is the first version of the solution, which will be further improved.
New Enemies:

Introducing motorcycles and Roombo cleaning robots as new enemy vehicles players can encounter.
Motorcycles are agile but deal low damage with their bashes and have limited durability. Each bike has a single-ranged attack with a limited range. Chopper fires short bursts to the sides while Cross throws grenades backwards through its left or right arm.
Roombo cleaning robots have limited but versatile movement capabilities. Their signature attack pushes the player sideways, potentially pushing them into a wall. Beware of the more powerful Turbo Roombo version, which can heal itself by attacking the player.

New Accessories:

Added a new type of component that can be obtained and equipped in most playable vehicles. Some accessories provide positive modifiers, while others add unique cards to enrich the deck with specific functions, such as powerful status effects or strong movement actions. There are 24 of them in total.
New Gadgets:

Expanded the pool of obtainable gadgets by introducing 25 new unique modifiers that enhance gameplay and encourage players to utilize existing game mechanics in new ways.
New Events:

Included 12 new events that offer the opportunity to acquire gadgets, while others lead to unique encounters and battles.
New Wheels and Engines:

Increased the variety of available cards and rewards obtained in battles and shops by introducing 8 new wheels and engines.
Bug Fixes and General Improvements:

Addressed various bug issues and improved overall game stability and performance.

Thank you warmly for participating in the game testing on Steam at the end of last year! We received considerable positive and constructive feedback from you, which we analyzed in the sweat of our brow while planning further changes and improvements. We would like to share our conclusions and plans for the near future.
What went well?
Let's start with the positives by mentioning that the overall difficulty and length of the game are satisfactory to you. On a difficulty scale of 1 to 10, you rated the game an average of 8, which is very difficult. Most of the players did not reach the finishing line on the first try, which is ok because we aimed to make the game challenging. On the other hand, those who played longer could reach the final boss and beat it on average once every three attempts. The time of a full run was around 80 minutes.
According to those surveyed, the most common reason for losing was the limited ability to heal, but many were also unafraid to admit to making mistakes during gameplay. Among the players who spent the most time testing, there is a clear improvement in performance with successive approaches.
We are pleased that among the answers to the question "What do you think was the reason for winning?" the answer "Synergy in the deck" had a clear advantage. In the question about favourite cars, drivers and sponsors, each item received a similar number of votes, which leads us to believe that many players will find among them a combination that creates a strategy unique to them.
It will be easier, but that doesn't mean easy!
A sizable number of players have reported the fact that a large jump in difficulty is felt between late-game and final boss fights. We have spent the last few months bridging this gap, including increasing the number and variety of opponents featured in normal battles. We are also tweeting on an ongoing basis about cards, components, decks, and the behaviour of enemy vehicles based on the feedback we receive.

We've heard your requests and are making numerous UX and UI improvements, and working on more content. In the Early Access version, you can expect more music, enemies, parts, and languages! Yes, we are already working on localization for the languages listed below:

English
Spanish
French
German
Portuguese
Polish
Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
We have also introduced a progression system, thanks to which new players should not be overwhelmed by the number of unique mechanics, and will be able to learn the game step by step unlocking more and more advanced content. This content will be gradually increased with subsequent updates of the game, the roadmap for which we will present at the start of the Early Access version in less than two months!
