Over the last month I have been working hard on a new Boxscore Viewer for V10, and I have to say I have never been so excited about a new feature in a long time. V10 will be equipped with a Boxscore Viewer search utility that can search for a collection of boxscores that meet detailed criteria. Here are only a few examples:

Search for all games where Philadelphia was the winning team
Find boxscores where Philadelphia beat Atlanta and scored more than 5 runs
Find all Atlanta games in July where Freeman hit at least one HR and Morton got the GS and the W
Find all division rival, back and forth, come from behind, walk-off victories
This will be a great tool to use when researching the past before playing a game. For example, when getting ready to play LAD vs SFG you could search for all previous games between these teams. If Scherzer is starting for LAD, you can also look at all previous games he has started against SFG (all games, home games, or away games) -- or you can look at all previous games where Scherzer was player of the game. You can even look for games where Buster Posey faced Scherzer and got at least one hit and at one RBI. There is really no end to the research you can do with this tool.
Another exciting thing about this tool is that it will be available for use during a game! For example, imagine that during the LAD/SFG game, Scherzer just struck out his 10th batter. You could use this tool to find out how may times he has done that so far this season, or if he has done it vs SFG this season, or if he has done it at home or away this season, or ..., or..., or...

This library contains ten 2021 playoff teams, with active rosters containing players that appeared in at least one postseason game. In addition, the manager profiles for each team contain the actual lineups that were used during the postseason. These lineups can be loaded directl
This library contains ten 2021 playoff teams, with active rosters containing players that appeared in at least one postseason game. In addition, the manager profiles for each team contain the actual lineups that were used during the postseason. These lineups can be loaded directly by clicking on the Profile button when selecting the starting lineups.
It is recommended that the library be played as follows:

The Postseason Page should be used to generate the playoff schedules. In addition, the library is installed with the wild card games already on the calendar. Users should continue to use the Postseason Page to schedule the remainder of the postseason games once the wild card games are completed.
Games are intended to be played or watched manually. This will allow users to select the exact same starting pitchers and lineups that were used in real-life. If the game did not happen in real-life, users can allow the computer manager to pick starters and lineups based on manager profile settings, or they can choose them manually
A few things to be aware of:

The starting rotations specified in the team profiles are estimated based on manager preferences in the final weeks of the regular season and during the playoffs. These are intended to be used only for playoff games that did not take place in real-life.
The starting rotations in the profiles were specified as 4-man rotations and pitchers located lower in the rotation can be skipped if earlier pitchers are rested.
The Bullpen Usage setting in the manager profiles was set to "Quick to the Pen" to reflect the way starters were used during the real-life postseason.
Playing time limits have been disabled in the library options.
The Shelled Threshold in the Pitcher Fatigue options was set to 5. This means that starting pitchers will become immediately tired if they give up 5 or more runs. This was done to better reflect how starters were used during the 2021 postseason.
The Maximum Pitches Before Tired option in the Pitcher Fatigue options was set to 110. This was done to better reflect how starters were used during the 2021 postseason.
The Reserve Best-In-Pen Factor option in the Pitcher Fatigue option group was set to 20. This was done to ensure that managers do not "give-up" and try and conserve the best relievers when losing by a wide margin.
The lineup substitutions settings in the manager profile were configured so the computer manager does not make lineup substitutions. This ensures that the lineups stored in the profile will be used "as-is".
Some starting pitchers that did not appear in the postseason were added to the postseason rosters for teams that did not go very far in the postseason. This was required to ensure that these teams have enough starters if they go deep in the postseason during a replay.

The following updates are included in this release:

Changes made to support the upcoming 2021 season library.
Improvements to the CM logic used to pick relievers.
Improvements to the CM logic used to determine when to pinch hit for a starter that is not tired.

Prior to this update, boxscores viewed at the end of the game (before exiting the game) did not include who won/lost/received a save. This has been corrected.
Made a few Play by play corrections.
When the "Runner On Second Rule" is enabled, the CM will now often bunt at the start of an extra inning game in which a "zombie" runner is on second.
When the "Runner On Second Rule" is enabled and it is extra innings and no outs, the CM will now often play the defense in at the corners to protect against a bunt.
The CM will now try and save their better relievers when winning or losing by a lot. This can be controlled by a new option called "Reserve Best-In-Pen Factor" located in the Advanced Pitcher Fatigue Options. The default is winning or losing by at least 6 runs.
When pinch hitting or pinch running for the DH, the PH/PR is automatically set as the DH after the play.
The CM now takes the "Three Batters Faced" rule into consideration when picking relief pitchers.
Updated the help text for some options.
The as-played and profile rotations available when starting a game, and when playing a game, now list "upcoming starters". This allows you to know who is expected to pitch in the upcoming days.
Full team names (if provided) are now used in the standings.
When picking the starting lineups, or making lineup changes during a game, the list of upcoming pitchers are now displayed.

Version 9.2.1 Released

Added a new option to set a limit for starting pitcher durability. The default value is 140 pitches. This option is only relevant for old-time seasons. Modern season libraries are very unlikely to have pitchers that reach this limit.
Added a new mode to the Edit Managers dialog box. This mode is called Quick Watch and it will set both team managers to Computer and allow you to watch just the next plate appearance. After the plate appearance (or when there is a wild pitch, passed ball, or successful steal) both managers will automatically be set to Human. The hot key for this is q. Be aware that Quick Watch hands over all decision making for both teams to the Computer Manager for the upcoming plate appearance. If you want to make managerial decisions during a plate appearance set the manager to human for one or both teams at the start of the plate appearance. Like all of the Edit Manager options, the hot key will not work unless the Edit Manager dialog box is visible.
Updated the User Guide by adding a new Quick Tip section on setting team managers during a game.
Fixed a bug that prevented the catcher's arm rating from impacting a base runner's steal rating.

We are happy to announce the addition of the 1980s to our Decade All Time Teams series of libraries. There are some great teams in this library, including the 1986 New York Mets 108 win season, the Oakland A's 104 game season in 1988, and the Tigers 1984 104 victory effort. This
We are happy to announce the addition of the 1980s to our Decade All Time Teams series of libraries. There are some great teams in this library, including the 1986 New York Mets 108 win season, the Oakland A's 104 game season in 1988, and the Tigers 1984 104 victory effort.
This library contains 26 teams, one for each franchise that fielded a team during the 1980-1989 decade. For each franchise, the team with the best record during the 1980-1989 decade was included in this library. Because there are no real-life transactions associated with an all-time teams library, injuries were enabled to spice things up a bit.
There are several ways to enjoy this library. Here are just a few ideas:

Pick your favorite team and replay the season. Then auto generate the postseason and pick a playoff team to manage through the postseason.
Use the postseason tool to build a tournament consisting of 16 teams. Pick one of the 16 teams and see if you can pilot them to the finals. If your team loses, take over the team that beat you and see if you can take them to the final game. Keep going until you reach the final.
Use the draft tool to release all of the players and then run a draft. See how your drafted team does in a full season replay, or a tournament.

Enhancement: Added the ability to view batters faced (BF) in pitching reports on the Reports Page.
Enhancement: Added better error messages when a schedule import fails.
Enhancement: Added new option that allows users to 'dial-down' the impact that park factors have on game play. This is a great option for folks who want to experience the fun of park factors without having them have a big impact on replay accuracy.
Enhancement: Improved PH logic used by the CM when pinch hitting for the pitcher.
BUGFIX: Fixed a bug that prevented switching between pitching and batting stats in player popups when starting a game and picking starting pitchers and lineups.
BUGFIX: Fixed a problem with player popups not closing when editing manual starting rotations on the Manager Profiles page.
BUGFIX: Corrected a problem that prevented the user from selecting the starting pitcher for a game if that pitcher played most of their games in the field.
BUGFIX: Corrected the League Pitching Totals report, which was displaying 'undefined' under the Name column.

BUGFIX: Fixed an issue that sometimes caused an invalid lineup, missing player, or error message when manually pinch hitting.
BUGFIX: Fixed an issue with the CM when the three batter rule is in effect. The issue resulted in the CM sometimes using a pitcher that is not rested enough to have a chance of facing the required two or three batters without getting tired.
BUGFIX: Fixed a bug that prevented the creation of a postseason with more than 8 rounds.
BUGFIX: Corrected a glitch with the "Home Runs" section of the Special Events Report. Specifically, in the park home runs were showing up in this section, and they should only be listed in the "In The Park Home Runs" section.
BUGFIX: Adjusted the game engine error logic to improve the accuracy of simulated errors.

NEW FEATURE: The postseason page now allows up to 12 rounds.
NEW FEATURE: The postseason page now allows the user to create series with teams that have lost in an earlier round.
NEW FEATURE: It is now possible to fully rest pitchers from the Browse Players Page. This can be done for selected pitchers or all pitchers in the library.
NEW FEATURE: Pickoff plays are now slightly more likely against left handed pitchers and slightly less likely against right handed pitchers.
NEW FEATURE: Specifying -1 for the 'Shelled' option will increase the chance a pitcher will get shelled status as the number of runs allowed advances beyond 5. This provides some variability, and a nice balance between simulating accurate IP/CG numbers and the user's desire to pull starters before they are tired.
BUGFIX: Correction to PBP calls on a 'hit and run / walk' play.
BUGFIX: Fixed a bug that caused pitchers to not get rested after the last game of the season.
BUGFIX: Fixed an issue that prevented the Apply Globally button to work properly for some options in the manager profile.
