In our big Ocean Fest update we split the overly complicated shop into 3 simpler shops.
We feel that this made the overall experience of using a shop much nicer overall, however there were some major downsides to how they were implemented
In the previous build version whenever you entered a shop tile, you would randomly be given one of the three shops. This was a convenient way for us to set that up, but it results in the possibility that a player may never actually get one of a particular kind of shop.
This is a particularly nasty issue for repairs, which are extremely difficult to live without. We had multiple suggestions to make repairs available at all the shops.
We recognize that it needs to be easier to make repairs. We are considering adding them to all the shops, but first we would like to try a different solution. We are taking away the randomness of the shop types.

We have made 3 new icons to represent the different shop types. These will replace the dollar sign symbol that represented all shops in the past.
In every run, you will be guaranteed a minimum of 1 of each shop type. You will get a minimum of 2 repair/upgrade shops. We believe that should make it easy enough to access the repairs you need while also making it more interesting to plan your routes on the map.
We want to hear from you! Please let us know if these changes improve your experience!
