Thank you so much for your support and feedback over the last week. The launch of The Serpent Rogue is something we've been working towards for a long time, and we're so happy to see players enjoying their time with the game.

Your input has been invaluable, and has allowed us to quickly work on a patch that fixes several issues that have been raised, while also adding some quality of life changes to help improve your experience as Wardens!

Patch Notes:

- New: effects on destroying stoned creatures

- New: ghouls can now be of different genders

- New: wood logs can now be found in some containers on the Wasteland as well

- Change: Weapons durability highly increased

- Change: Crafting can now have three slots for ingredients when brewing potions

- Change: description of some items in localization

- Change: the way Undertaker resurrects creatures (now the process is much faster)

- Change: adjusted Astroscopus attack distances

- Change: Snake attack range reduced

- Change: Removed icons from unusable icons on the map

- Change: Added one more moonstone on Swamp

- Change: Valravn can now sprint even on low Vitality

- Change: Worms in stump are now respawning on Pier location

- Change: Undertaker now can take damaged and brand new shovels as a payment

- Fix: infinite load issue

- Fix: crash when traveling between locations while riding on a Valravn

- Fix: not passable area after burning some objects

- Fix: Swamp softlock fix

- Fix: consuming food while being in the animal form changed players' race back to default

Thank you so much for your support and feedback over the last week. The launch of The Serpent Rogue is something we've been working towards for a long time, and we're so happy to see players enjoying their time with the game.

Your input has been invaluable, and has allowed us to quickly work on a patch that fixes several issues that have been raised, while also adding some quality of life changes to help improve your experience as Wardens!

As the mysteriously plague-masked protagonist The Warden, players must explore the world, utilise and craft crucial potions to cleanse the world of the malevolent corruption known as the Serpent Rogue and restore balance to the lands surrounding Mount Morbus.

Alchemy is one of the key ingredients in The Serpent Rogue’s gameplay and mastering it will be pivotal to The Warden’s success; collect and research ingredients to unveil their uses, experiment with different mixtures to craft unique potions, and use those concoctions in a variety of ways to progress through the everchanging world.

The Serpent Rogue allows players to tackle challenges in a myriad of ways; adversaries can be defeated through head-to-head open combat, perfectly timed alchemic potions, or by befriending and taming local beasts. Each step on The Warden’s journey is fraught with challenges and decisions, the echoes of which can be felt across the wider world. For instance, leaving food lying around will cause havoc by attracting vermin to the area, while bodies left unburied will lure fearsome ghouls, so The Warden will have to make sure to tread carefully.

The Serpent Rogue key features

randomised by storms that sweep the land

Changelog (DEMO)

Fixed:

Dogs day quest not spawning hounds
Selecting character in the main menu was not always behaving correctly
Kiosk's nominated NPC bug fixed, leading to improved times between the availability of the orders/quests
When held, the axe would constantly vibrate
Secret loot containers were refilled after storm
Clear Possible Loot Resources from UI panel after the storm on the Wasteland
Boot loading string localization

Changed:

Updated vibrations on stealth and Research Places on the wasteland
No longer visualize weapons in stat windows (like torch in the hand etc)
Latin and Spanish fonts updated to support custom characters
French words order correction
Removed Pacifist achievement hat
Disabled wind on trees in Wasteland, it caused more troubles than give effects

New:

Grass shader optimized for less preformant configurations
The Looming Vines Quest
SFX on failure craft
Remastered stone props on gorgon location
More VFX on torches in the Camp to Pier passage, so player could better see what is interactable
Smeltery Recipes, add count on created items
Play can now steal items when he is in stealth mode

Demo Competition!

To celebrate our brand-new demo, we're offering multiple prizes to people who can complete a challenge when playing the demo! Here's everything you need to know...

In your start location/camp there will be 7 magical stones, very unassuming looking... for now. Your task is to discover and research 7 golden breaches around the map, upon doing so, symbols will appear on the stones!

You will then have to write down all the symbols in the order indicated by the numbers on the stones.

Once all the symbols are unlocked, the pause screen of the game will display the “key”.

In order to take part in the competition, you will have to provide the symbols + the key in the 'competition' channel of The Serpent Rogue Discord

Prizes:

1 winner will receive a Nintendo Switch Handheld Console and “The Serpent Rogue” press kit (contents TBC)
4 winners will receive “The Serpent Rogue” press kit (contents TBC)
15 winners will receive “The Serpent Rogue” metal pins

You’ll take on the role of The Warden – a mysterious character out to confront and destroy a corrupting force known as Morbus (The Serpent Rogue) that threatens to take over the medieval realm.

As The Warden, you must restore balance to the natural world, but be warned, all your actions have consequences! Craft and experiment with potions and recipes that will change, or even create, situations to your advantage.

The Warden’s actions will also affect the ecosystem, from dreaded Reapers devouring too many pets left in a single location, to ghouls attracted to the unburied going on to attack everything standing in their way.

The wonders of alchemy even extend to therianthropy and shapeshifting, allowing The Warden to transform into any creature, and allow any creature to be transformed into another – including The Warden!

These things combined create a wealth of potential strategies and tactics to overcome the darkness of Morbus…
