Hello everyone, here comes a small update regarding Distant Bloom and the current state of the game. First of all, we are overjoyed that so many of you decided to give Distant Bloom a try and the all around positive reception the game has received. It truly means the world to us
Hello everyone, here comes a small update regarding Distant Bloom and the current state of the game.
First of all, we are overjoyed that so many of you decided to give Distant Bloom a try and the all around positive reception the game has received. It truly means the world to us to see something we worked on be able to bring a joyful experience to so many.
With that said, we also know that the experience up until this point has not been without its faults and we want to profusely apologize for any frustration caused by the issues and bugs some of you have experienced within the game. While we haven't been able to respond to every post regarding these issues, please know that we try and do our best in keeping track of all noted bugs or errors reported.
We are happy to confirm that for the next few weeks we’ll be able to jump back into the project and do our best to fix as many of the issues as we can, with a special focus on critical issues and blockers.
In the coming days we will provide more information about the specific issues that we will be fixing as well as a date for next patch release.

Additionally, all players can now save their progress in the cloud. Cloud saves allow you to continue your game on any device without worrying about losing your progress. Just make sure to keep Cloud synchronization enabled.

Distant Bloom is a game about exploring an alien planet and bringing it back to life. It's about ecology, sustainability, and love for nature, but it's also about family, friends, and the meaningful journey we can share with loved ones.
Distant Bloom aims to make players of all ages feel happy, cozy, and safe, and most importantly, not alone.
For these reasons, we decided to add "Little Buddy Mode", which allows you to connect a second controller to your PC and have your little kid, sibling, or friend take control of the little robot Kei.ki.
No, this doesn't make Distant Bloom a multiplayer game. All actions in the game will still be performed by the Assistant. However, the second player can keep you company and stroll around with you as you explore the world.
The Little Buddy Mode isn't available right from the start of the game. To enable the option in your Menu, you'll first need to enter the Oasis. Please note that this mode is experimental - tested and compatible with PS4, PS5, and Xbox controllers but untested with other devices on the market.

Today, we've implemented another set of fixes for Distant Bloom. This marks the fifth update since you got your hands on the game. During this time, you've provided us with valuable feedback that has helped us work on improving your gaming experience. In total we’ve managed to address over 25 issues and add quite a few 'quality of life' improvements! Thank you for your involvement!

• Due to inconsistent behavior when root bridges and snot monsters were both interacting with a planting plot, the snot monsters near the Deep Timberlands crystalite has been removed and the nearby root bridge replaced with a static bridge.
