Hello everyone, and welcome to the new devlog for The Flagship. In this update, we’re focusing on enhancing your in-station experience.
First, we’ve made significant improvements to in-station ship display. Your weapons will now load and display correctly, allowing you to visually inspect your weapon configurations before entering combat. Additionally, we’ve given players the ability to freely rotate the camera within the station, so you can finally take a moment to enjoy your warship.

Next, we’ve streamlined and optimized the equipment system. We’ve introduced a categorization feature to the inventory, making it easier to manage your gear. Equipped items are now removed directly from the inventory instead of being merely marked, providing a more intuitive management experience. Moreover, we’ve simplified the equipment process itself. Players can now select an item from the inventory, then use the Tab key to switch between equipment slots, and press R to equip it, greatly reducing the number of steps required. We’ve also added a comparison feature; by pressing the Alt key, you can bring up a comparison interface to help you choose the best equipment for your needs. Furthermore, sub-turrets now include an focus shot, allowing you to preview your weapon configuration. The missile ship section is no longer limited to increasing the number of projectiles but now also supports expanding the variety of missiles you can equip.

In terms of warship management, this update introduces a major new feature: players can now own multiple ships! Currently, only one ship per hull type can be owned, but this still provides greater freedom for players to explore different playstyles without needing to reconfigure their equipment and settings. However, managing multiple ships will consume more resources, including credits and minerals, adding a new layer of strategy to your gameplay experience.

We’ve introduced a new energy management. The weapon systems for the main cannons and wing guns will now have their own independent energy pools, making firepower sustainability an important factor in your equipment choices. Other systems will also be updated with energy-related changes in future updates, and we’ll share more details as they develop.

Finally, we’ve made some smaller optimizations to the combat experience. The firing logic for the main ship weapons is now more intuitive—simply single-click to fire. The missile launching mechanism has also been improved; players can now launch the desired number of missiles with just a few clicks, while holding the button down will unleash a volley over a fixed duration, making the process more convenient than ever before.
That’s all for this update. Thank you for your attention and support. We’ll see you next time!
