On July 8, The Regression begins. Every time anyone earns a steam achievement, the game will get a tiny bit shorter for everyone in the world. Each community achievement will make Infinite Children a little less comprehensible, as The Regression subtracts story, images, sound, and, no doubt, time.
After the 20,000th community achievement is earned, the Regression will be complete, manifesting as a ~7 minute version of the game - wholly frenetic and incoherent.
There will be 50 new achievements available for The Regression, each entitled, “Regress This Game”. The previous 50 that extended the game between May 6 and June 13 (which were entitled “Extend This Game”) will continue to not be available.
