Patch v3.0.1b Released!

v3.0.1b - RELEASED 7 FEBRUARY 2026

TOWER FALL IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Made prey animals respect the same map barriers as the player-wolf.

  • If player's territory extends to the edge of the map, they can now unlock the Move Along! achievement by chasing a vehicle to that point on the road.

  • Prevent skulls from spawning just beyond western borders.

  • Moved some scent posts on south end of map into player-navigable area. (Only takes effect in new games.)

  • Vehicle performance optimizations and pathfinding refinements.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS:

  • During courtship, howling no longer generates hearts from mate candidates. (Was mistakenly enabled at some point in the past.)

  • Valley fog: Refinements to fog appearance, made fog state saved in save games, and prevent fog from rendering when with newborn pups.

  • Corrections and improvements to some text translations.

  • Added "Show Password" option on the Reset Password panel, to prevent typos from going unnoticed.

TOWER FALL BUGS FIXED:

  • Pronghorn family flocks and mother-calf flocks don't spawn on Tower Fall.

  • Occasionally some big rocks turn pink after season transition.

  • If you play through the seasons, come Early Spring you are unable to sleep, and in particular situations the game may not allow saving.

  • Some multiplayer intro texts describe Hellroaring instead of Tower Fall map.

  • Young wolf pups (before Growing Pups quest) will walk through vehicles.

  • NPC pathfinding issues at several dens.

  • On Basic Vegetation mode, some trees grow in Tower Creek.

  • One segment of the Yellowstone River flows uphill.

  • At several rendezvous sites, colliders don't align properly with rendezvous rock.

  • Campground road has no snow in winter.

  • Ghost vehicles can be heard on the Grand Loop Road in winter.

  • Bear Culvert Trap is absent in winter season.

  • Some issues with pathfinding and rendering at a few dens and rendezvous sites.

OTHER BUGS FIXED:

  • Hellroaring Mountain: Antelope marsh has no marsh grass in fall season.

  • Confusing notification appears if player tried to reset passwords for both WQ 2.7 and WQ:AE accounts but does not have a WQ 2.7 account.

  • Game Settings: Difficulty: If default difficulty was not Easy but the player let Setup New Game dropdown on Easy, the game would start with the default difficulty.

  • Password reset panel can get stuck onscreen if player submits reset password code and new password but with nonexistent username.

  • In some cases, upgrade a WQ 2.7 account to a WQ:AE account causes an error and freezes the game.

  • Many minor terrain and water issues.
