Summer check-in!

Hello Champions! Straight to the point: no, we haven’t forgotten about the DLC we told you we would reveal in July. We know many of you have been waiting for that announcement, so we wanted to give you a proper update instead of just staying silent. One of the things we’ve always cared about with this community is delivering what we promise. We built this journey together by sharing plans, roadmaps, and goals, and we’ve always delivered what we've promised. At the same time, we’ve always followed another rule: we don’t announce things until we know they are ready to be announced and delivered. No empty promises. No hype just for the sake of hype. And the DLC is no different. So, here’s the news: the DLC announcement has been moved. But here’s the important part: this is not because of problems, delays, or because something went wrong.

Actually… it’s quite the opposite.

The DLC is almost ready. The new map is there, the new campaign is there, the new villain is there. Development has been moving forward nicely. The reason for this change of plans is that some other very cool things are happening behind the scenes, and they require our full attention right now. The biggest one is, of course, Alaloth on consoles. We are getting very close to submission, but the last few months have brought some important changes in the console ecosystem and the porting process. Without going too deep into technical stuff, bringing a game like Alaloth, built on an older Unity version, to modern platforms requires making some very careful decisions. Updating the engine at this stage would potentially create huge technical challenges, so our priority is to solve these final steps and get Alaloth ready for consoles as soon as possible.

Nothing to say at the moment, but hey: this is Ehodran, the twin kingdom of Edherest.

And then? Again: the DLC is not at risk. It never stopped. It is coming. We know this is probably not the big reveal you were expecting, but we wanted to be honest with you and explain why things are moving slightly differently than planned. And there’s more.

COMING UP NEXT

As we already mentioned, we are also working on our next game. Yes, it’s an isometric soulslike. Yes, it’s bigger. Yes, it’s better. After months of pre-production and a lot of work behind closed doors, things are moving fast and the announcement is getting closer. This summer has actually brought some amazing changes for us, and we can’t wait to finally show you what we’ve been working on. And this is actually another reason why we decided to slightly move the DLC timeline. We are a still small and sometimes development means making choices about where to put your energy at the right moment. Right now, between finishing Alaloth for consoles, preparing the next steps for the DLC, and getting ready to finally show you our next project, we had to adjust the plan.

We believe this is the right decision, because it allows us to do everything properly instead of rushing things. And trust us: there is a lot to look forward to.

ISOMETRIC RPG SALE

It is live now, organized by our good friends at Owlcat, and we’re very happy to have Alaloth joining the party! And if you somehow missed it: Alaloth is also bundled with Pathfinder, so this is a pretty great time to discover both games if you haven’t played them yet. To celebrate the sale, we’re also releasing our latest cosmetic set today: the Void Stalker. A dark new look for those of you who like their heroes to be a little more… ominous. So, if you’ve been waiting for the right moment to join Plamen and start your journey, this might just be it.

Jump into the Isometric Sale, grab Alaloth, pick up the Void Stalker, and we’ll see you in the kingdoms!

On the community side, you can also expect some changes soon: Discord improvements, Reddit (finally!), and more ways to stay connected with us as we enter this new phase. Before all of that, though, Alaloth will receive another update with new features, improvements, and fixes. More info in the next weeks, just after Gamescom!

So yeah… lots happening. Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for continuing this journey with us.

Lot of love for you all!
