Patch v1.0.5 is now available for Clockwork Ambrosia on the [beta] branch! Surprise, we’re doing another one, and this one has some pretty big changes!
This patch's main feature is an update to the game’s fast travel mechanic – the Warp Crystals – which were previously only unlocked after finding the Warpshard somewhere in the world. After taking in player feedback, we’ve decided to make them functional as soon as the player has encountered two Warp Crystals. Additionally, the UI for fast travel has been improved, and there’s even a few more Warp Crystals in the world than before!
In addition to that, we have even more UI improvements, bugfixes, and all-around QoL updates. Read on to see what’s in!

FEATURES
Warp Crystal UI updated. When selecting a destination, a map is displayed showing the relevant location.
Warp Crystals can now be used without finding the Warpshard.
After at least two Crystals have been encountered, the player can teleport to any Warp Crystal they have already encountered.
For players who already have the Warpshard, unencountered Warp Crystals will still be available.
Improved visuals for Fragile and Temporary armor gauges. Lost Fragile pips are displayed as shattered rather than disappearing from the gauge.
Large stages are now revealed in bigger chunks, making map completion easier.
UI/UX
While looking at the map, an area title is displayed for the currently-highlighted tile.
Added “Small Weapon UI” option under Config->Graphics that reduces the size of the equipped weapon icons.
Remaining Retries are now displayed in the pause menu
“Big Scrap” that’s worth 5 on pickup now has a great visual distinction from the 1-value Scrap
Temporary Armor is now added front-to-back rather than back-to-front
Improvements to SteamInput support, including a new option under Config->Input for setting Polling Type. More UI elements (such as reloading gauges, etc.) are hidden during cutscenes
Game can be paused during scenes without dialogue boxes interfering with Pause Menu
CAMPAIGN
The Warpshard is no longer obtainable. In its place, a new Life Augment was added.
Players who already opened this chest in the Sunken Pillar can return there and re-open it for a Life Augment!
Added a few new Warp Crystals around the world, including the Fungal Grotto and an additional point in Altolis.
After obtaining an area’s Map item, the locations of some goals (such as bosses) are now automatically marked
Added a shortcut from Ignis Baluster to Fungal Grotto
Added shortcut from City District 4 to Ignis Baluster
Loading a save now refills/reloads weapons. Isn’t that nice!
Pioneer’s boulders now drop Energy when destroyed
There are now opportunities to refill Energy before most boss encounters
Upward Fire and Downward Fire updated. Now fires an added Shadow Round at an angle instead of changing the main shot trajectory.
Shadow Rounds now only kill copied bullets on collision with enemy
Previously, Shadow Rounds could kill copied bullets just by contacting terrain. No fair!
Dash is now canceled upon contact with a wall.
Wall signs have improved visuals
Rock projectiles from Pioneer/Drillbot now visually stand out more compared to harmless rubble
Visuals in various stages have been improved.
Plus a handful of other small tweaks to improve experience!
BUGFIXES
Fixed various issues with SteamInput, including some glyph display errors
Fixed issue where game could crash when navigating Config menu
Fixed issue where you could equip mods to the final slot of incompatible weapons
Fixed issue where Homing Thrusters could fail to target certain enemies
Fixed issue where Grenade Launcher wouldn’t reload via the reload button when empty
Fixed issue where Critical Pannier’s upgraded effect didn’t work as advertised
Fixed issue where screen would incorrectly darken during some sequences
Fixed issue where a New! tag could persist on an equipped weapon
Fixed issue where music could reset while exploring Misty Heights
Fixed issue where transparent pixels of background decor could render over Iris depending on the texture caching option set
The change to Dash fixes an issue where Iris could dash through laser gates with certain equipment.
The code changes to Armor means the “bad armor data” bug has been eliminated
