I hope you’ve all been doing well! I’m back from my summer vacation, and this patch rolls out fixes and improvements based on reports received over the summer.
Note: You can always revert to a previous version via the Steam Betas tab if needed. The latest previous version is: 1.1.0. The rollback option is there to ensure smooth user experience in case something does not behave as expected.
Lunar Module Landing Radar
The landing radar has had a bug that leads to blocking issues during particular maneuvers (rare) or if used incorrectly (such as leaving it off during lunar landing). The issues seen here could be random teleports to the lunar landing surface after DPS shutdown, or strange issues during descent and landing. This issue is now corrected with a larger logic re-write, so please let me know if you experience new issues during lunar landings and lunar module ops.
The landing radar is essential during descent and landing, so I also made a system that will remind the players to turn it on during powered descent.
Apollo Save State to support LM Ascent
A fix to the LM Save State has been made to allow save states made between Lunar Ascent insertion and CSM/LM docking after the lunar ascent.
Invisible Mission Control Avatar (only headset is visible)
I made a fix that corrects an issue where the 3D model of the player Avatar for Mission Control (Character Editor and in-session) was invisible except for the mission control headset.
Mission and State Updates
I have made multiple changes to missions based on feedback and reports. This should improve the Gemini Exam, the Lunar Module Undocking scenario, some Gemini campaign missions (formatting/units), and the Apollo CM Lesson 8 and 9 default DAP.
I have also received some feedback related to ways of improving the CM Academy and will start to look at the design of this.
Checklist Updates
I have also made improvements to checklists and their RUN steps. Please make sure you install the latest checklist updates (popup on the main menu when launching the game, or through the in-game settings). These are fixes, run step improvements and some additional reminders in various places.
Agena external lights visible while landing
If you leave the Agena ACQ lights on after undocking from it, you could in some cases see this when landing back in the ocean on Earth. This has now been corrected.
Mercury Capsule flips upside down on landing
I have made some improvements to the Mercury Upright System (inflatable ring) to better ensure the capsule stays upright after splashdown. I have not had an issue related to it flipping frequently, but if you do, please let me know if this fix helps.
Mercury ASCS fixes during landing
An issue with the ASCS caused it to make attempts at incorrect attitude corrections during landing and descent. This could be fixed by re-configuring the control mode, but this fix improves the ASCS to avoid this minor issue.
Thanks to everyone who has been reporting issues, providing constructive feedback and helping out. I could not make a game like this without you!
