A few days ago, we created a thread in the discussion section about a teaser that we move Career Mode to the main branch after the positive feedback and suggestions we got from you in 'beta Career Mode' branch. Thank you very much for your support. We really appreciate it.
And today, we have a new update for Aquaculture Land! We have moved version 0.8.1 to the main branch to replace version 0.7.11!
So for those of you who haven't had the chance to try Career Mode version 0.8.1 in the 'beta Career Mode' branch before, now all you have to do is update your Aquaculture Land and you can immediately try playing Career Mode.
We still have a lot of homework that needs to be done based on your feedback and suggestion. After this update, besides we are working on our own update list, we will also be working on your feedback and suggestion list.
Career Mode
If you have tried Career Mode in the 'beta Career Mode' branch, the Career Mode that we updated to this main branch (version 0.8.1) is more or less the same as the one in the 'beta Career Mode' branch.
In this version 0.8.1 in the main branch, we bring back Free Mode into the game. And in version 0.8.1, there are also some new things (especially the gameplay and features) that might look and feel different from version 0.7.11.
Customer Request
In version 0.7.11, to get money, aside from selling fish to the market, you must complete an order from a customer. The customer will ask you to give them amount of fish according to the order and if you can complete the order according to the requirement and before the deadline runs out, you will get a reward.

But in version 0.8.1, it becomes different. Customers are no longer just order number of fish, but they will give you a variety of requests, we called it “Customer Request”. There is a request that needs you to deliver an amount of fish to the customer, there is also a request asking you to sell your fish to the market.
Besides getting money for the rewards, by completing requests from customers, you will also get exp. point for Customer Relationship Level.

A New Way to Unlock
Another thing that’s different in version 0.8.1 is a way to unlock something. In version 0.7.11, everything about unlocking is related to the farm level. When the farm level reaches a certain level then you can unlock something new.

With the Customer Relationship Level system in version 0.8.1, everything about unlocking things will be related to the level of your Customer Relationship. You have to reach a certain level from a certain customer if you want to unlock something.
In version 0.8.1, there is also a new feature called the Journal Map. This Journal Map is a place if you want to see how's your progress so far. Journal Map is also a place where you can unlock something new, whether it unlocks new features, commodity licenses, or equipment.

Free Mode
In version 0.8.1 before (when it was still in ‘beta 'Career Mode' branch), we disabled the Free Mode feature because we want you to focus on trying Career Mode. But with this update, we have reactivated the Free Mode feature so that you who want to play Aquaculture Land with certain conditions or states can try it out.
For Free Mode in version 0.8.1 will be different from version 0.7.0. We're adjusting the Free Mode with the existing features (Career Mode features).
In this Free Mode, you can choose your starting condition such as equipment availability, feature availability, and customer availability. You can choose to start the game in a normal way (all things locked) or unlocked it all.
Move version 0.8.1 into Main Branch
As mentioned above, version 0.8.1 is different from version 0.7.11 both in terms of features or gameplay because of Career Mode.
There is a thing to note if you want to play version 0.8.1 on the main branch:
The Career Mode version is using a different save file format, so you need to play a clean start from new game.
We hope you can understand this.
We don't completely remove version 0.7.11. We just move it to another branch. So, if you still want to play version 0.7.11, you can follow the steps here (in the second comments).

- The Career Mode version is using a different save file format, so make sure you make a backup for your current save files if you still want to play version 0.7.11
- The current version of the Career Mode is still not the full version yet. You will only be able to unlock 3 customer in the current version.
- The maximum level of each customers that you can reach is level 5
