Today we have some updates for Aquaculture Land. For a few past weeks, we updated custom mode into experimental build because we still need to adjust a few things. And today, we decided to move custom mode to the main build along with the visual feedback update.
Custom Mode
There isn't much change from the custom mode that we update to the main build. Custom mode is an additional feature for Free Mode. The custom mode feature is created because we want to retain the essence of Free Mode, where players are free to play as they wish, with a progression process, where all features such as fish and equipment are locked so that players can unlock these features one by one and feel the progression.
With this feature, you can choose your starting conditions to play in Free Mode (like Sandbox Mode in general). There are several conditions that you can choose such as starting level, starting money, fish, and equipment.
Visual Feedback
Visual feedback is one of the things that is lacking in Aquaculture Land. We realized it after watching some players playing Aquaculture Land. We also got some feedback that said they don’t know what is happening with their farm. So, we decided to add this visual feedback to help players understand what is happening with their farm, especially with their fish.
Pond Sign
Every pond you build has several statuses. You need to make sure that the statuses meet the commodities needs. Your commodities will be in bad condition if you don’t meet those needs.
For the current version, everything that happened with the status will be shown with the bubble icon (that represented the status that changed). So, if in the previous version there was only a warning icon that appears after the status going bad, right now every time the pond status increase or decreases, you’ll be shown with a bubble status icon.
We also changed the pond warning icon with the new one, because we thought the old one is not clear enough to tell you what the icon means.
Work Sign
Work sign is a sign that will appear every time your worker will do something. Dig pond, fill water, cut bush, repairing equipment, etc. We changed the worker sign because we want to make this sign clear enough to understand. And we also give a little animation to the sign so it will become juicier.
