We've added electricity to Ficterra!
Build power networks using generators, wires and machines! Unlocked in tier 4, you can start building machines to automate crafting tasks.

We have also rehauled the character system to be more modern and consistent. Choose from a variety of clothing styles and colours to create your custom character.

Build solar panels and wind turbines to generate power for your machines. Use batteries to store excess power for later.

The new Machine Furnace automatically smelts ores and requires no coal to run! Hook it up to vacuum pipes to automate your smelting even further
Updates
- New character system added that replaced the old one. Create your custom characters from Account in the menu
- Characters can have multiple clothing options and multiple colours per piece of clothing
- Electricity has been added to the game. Machines can use electricity to work. Electricity is created from Generators and transferred by wire to machines or batteries
- Copper wire is now a placeable object. Use it to connect between machines, generators and other wire. It will automatically change shape to connect devices it is next to
- The Machine Furnace has been added to the game. This furnace automatically smelts ores in its inventory. It has the same recipes as the furnace except it uses electricity instead of coal. This furnace can also be connected to vacuum pipes, to move items in and out of its inventory. You can craft the machine furnace at the tinker table once tier 4 is unlocked
- The Small Battery has been added to the Ficterra. This battery can be used to store electricity for later use. It is craftable at the tinker table starting from tier 4
- Wind Turbines have been added to the game. Turbines generate electrical power from the wind. Try placing turbines in different biomes to get different power outputs. Wind turbines can also be crafted at the tinker table from tier 4 onward
- Solar Panels are now in Ficterra. Solar panels generate electricity from the sun (so not at night time). Biomes with more sunlight will give the solar panels more power. Craft solar panels at the tinker table from tier 4 onward
- The hover info panel at the top of the screen now shows you the stored power of a placeable object (if it can store power)
- The crafting screen for auto crafting devices now shows the required power/s to run at full speed in place of the amount slider
- Painted cubes now build faster
Fixes
- Multiplayer games no longer load characters incorrectly
- Segmented controls now work with a larger amount of items
