Vacuum Pipes! - Early Access Update 14!

Vacuum Pipes have been added Ficterra!

Put an object in front of one and it'll suck it up and spit it out the other side. You can chain them together to create a pipeline. They come in a "turn" variety too so you twist and tun your pipe.

Have fun with the physics, as the pipes shoot things out of them! They can also transport chests full of items, so you can use them to send items back to your base.

Updates

  • Vacuum Pipes have been added to the game. These suck up placeable objects and spit them out the other side. They can be crafted at the Tinker Table
  • Vacuum Pipe Turns have been added to the game. These are vacuum pipes that spit out at 90 angle. These are also crafted at the Tinker Table
  • Ficterra now uses a new system for loading and building terrain. This greatly reduces the amount of memory and gpu usage the game uses. It may also load faster depending on your machine.
  • Biome sizes have been increased. For custom games all of the available size settings now produce worlds with larger biomes. This is to balance out the new biomes we have previously added to the game.
  • Removed duplicate data on placeable objects
  • Oak and Pine trees now generate faster
  • Optimized how we spawn major sketches when generating terrain
  • Oceans now generate faster
  • Lakes now generate faster
  • Removed extra unneeded data on terrain chunks, slightly saving memory and time

Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where half cubes next to ramps could have an invisible side
  • Objects that snap to a grid now rotate correctly
  • Fixed a bug where objects generated with the terrain would sometimes duplicate
