Below is a list of changes to RUNE II we’ve made since launch based on the most requested COMMUNITY FEEDBACK.

  • Significantly increased performance and optimization.
  • Use a single universal character consistently between sessions instead of needing to create a new character every time you join a new session.
  • Improved Keybindings and Controller Remapping options
  • Added options to disable screenshake, play audio when not in focus, and hide password when creating a new session
  • Attempt an automatic unstuck if you're inside the building when you build it.
  • Statues in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 no longer take damage from players.
  • Adjusted weapon hot states during heavy attacks for AI to provide a more accurate hit during enemy lunge animations.
  • Adjusted hit detection, heavy attacks, and stagger timings for all weapons.
  • Removed block warmup with shield. Blocking is now instant.
  • Reduced tree damage range.
  • Better player communication in game for god alignment and skills.
  • Decreased visual effects on Health runes, Stamina runes, and Odin’s skill tree.
  • Adjusted blocking and parrying visual effects.
  • Added music and ambient audio to menus
  • Added new weapon impacts sounds.
  • Updated startup video with lower volume.
  • Updated UI sounds
  • Reduced damage multiplier of thrown weapons
  • Updated Katya's quest to kill deer (not bears!) with a bow.
  • Spread out enemy density in the open world.
  • Increased drop rate of Dwarf Blood
  • Relocated trees and rocks within villages.
  • Increased drop rate of Dwarf Blood from killing Dwarves.
  • Removed Defensive and Health passive stats for Shields in PvP
  • Removed attributes panel in PvP
  • Greatly increased shield block angle.
  • Swapped skills hotbar and attributes panel in the inventory UI.
