It's done – finally :)
Apologies to our European fans for the “slightly” unconventional time. Believe me there’s a good reason behind it.
Below you will find this rather long list of new features. We simply skipped the boring part with all the optimizations and fixes we made :) One thing is for sure – Grimmwood has never been bigger, better, or shinier. Enjoy!
And please try streaming on Steam as much as you can. Especially as early as possible after the release. For that we’ll be forever in debt to you!

New Features:
1. Epic Items
- Druid Stone (consumable, gives 100% protection for your Camp during the night phase);
- Endless Water Flask (permanent, infinite doses of water);
- Crystal Ball (permanent, limited, allows you to scout 3 distant map tiles per day);
- Axe of the Legendary Woodcutter - (permanent, durability affected, much higher wood cutting efficiency, also quite effective as a weapon);
- Magic Flute (consumable, gives you a limited number of uses, allowing to move 100% undetected by monsters).
2. Rare Items
- Bear Protection Amulet (permanent, makes you undetectable by Bears);
- Wolf Protection Amulet (permanent, makes you undetectable by Wolves);
- Unicorn Protection Amulet (permanent, makes you undetectable by Unicorns);
- Witch Protection Amulet (permanent, makes you undetectable by Witches);
- Giant Protection Amulet (permanent, makes you undetectable by Giants).
3. Common Items (plus recipes)
- Boar Hide (given when successfully hunting Boars);
- Boar Hide Armor (tougher version of the Leather Armor);
- Leather Helmet (better protection);
- Leather Arm Plates (better protection);
- Leather Thigh Plates (better protection).
Note: The full set of Leather Armor (Armor + Arm Plates + Thigh Plates) gives an additional protection bonus.
4. New Traits
- Leatherworker (additional efficiency bonus repairing and crafting leather items);
- Blacksmith (additional efficiency bonus when repairing and crafting metal items).
5. New Herb + Herbal Potions
- Reduralis Herb;
- Calming Tea (recovers Sanity).
6. Player Performance Bonuses
After the player dies in Village (or the Village falls), he/she can see his/her score based on 17 different in-game actions. The total score places the player in one of the 4 different performance tiers - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. For each tier there's a bonus item list from which a single item gets drawn and that's the player's bonus item for the next game. The bonus item is given as an addition to the starting items during the Character Generation.
7. Extended Follow Mode
An online Player will now be able to control up to 4 offline players. The online player can choose a specific follower to give water to, feed or heal. When in battle, the online player can choose a follower to attack or flee with and even the specific weapon with which the follower will attack. The online player will be also able to see the current Stamina, Sanity Level, Conditions and the Traits of the selected follower.
8. Global Map Filters
The following filters will be present: Whitewood Grove, Darkwood Grove, Herbage, Underbrush, Pond, Spring, Hunting Ground, Player's Grave and Ruined Chapel. By choosing a specific filter the Player will be able to view all the tiles containing this specific Point of Interest and also to see if the resources on it are currently either Depleted or Scarce.
