Hey Heroes,
Whether you're a solo hero or adventuring with friends, you will be far from alone in Tasos!
Over 40 NPCs (Townsfolk) will bring life to the town as you repair and expand it beyond its humble beginnings.
Each character has their own story, motivations and in some cases services they can provide to you as a budding hero.

Today we're going to say hello to eight of the townsfolk and give you a first look at their motivations for being in Tasos.
The Locals
Griff

Griff braved his way into Tasos from the safety of the neighbouring Avintes when no one else would. Taking his finely honed carpentry skills from the safety of the big city to the wider world, he is known as the fastest builder in all the land!
Griff will be an indispensable ally in the efforts to rebuild and recolonise Tasos.
Max

Max is Griff's nephew who'll move into town once his uncle sends a letter informing his family that his adventures in Tasos are going well with your help. That's right, supporting the town will mean more friendly faces and NPC progression!
Max wants to be an adventurer when he grows up and maybe even a hero like you.
Rusty

Who says the townsfolk have to be human? Rusty is Max's faithful hound and best friend. He'll keep Max safe no matter what! When he's not watching Max, Rusty likes to lay around, scratch and generally be a mighty fine doggo.
Yes, you can pet Rusty!
Willy

A grizzled veteran of the sea, Willy settled down in Tasos to take care of his daughter after many a hard year battling the waves. These days he's into fishing for the biggest catches in Tasos where he's heard fish have no equal...
Talking to Willy will allow you to learn the tricks of the fishing trade and even lead to you helping him land the greatest catch of his life!
Margaret

Margaret will arrive from Avintes at Griff's request to help the growing hero population by providing much needed protection!
Margaret can spin enchanted thread to create outfits that give power to the heroes' ambitions.
Taking the time to talk to Margaret will lead to stronger classes and abilities for your hero.
Nat

Yes, that's a squirrel.
Nat is the eccentric squirrel master who heralds from the northeast forest. Nat never left Tasos when things went south, she just found new friends in the little critter and animals that call the woods their home.
You'll usually find Nat collecting acorns strewn about to feed and please her furry friends.
Andy

It seems not everyone shares the consensus that rebuilding Tasos is a good idea.
Andy is a solitary man who lives in a cabin on the great hill outside town, from which he can see everything going on below. He mostly keeps to himself and lives off the land, but isn't too thrilled by the return of civilisation that you've brought about.
BUT, finding common ground with this hermit could lead to something useful...
Rick

The local tools expert, Rick can fashion new equipment from blueprints you bring him! But there's so much more to his unique talent, by trading him some gems you'll be able to update existing equipment to augment strength, speed, carrying capacity and loads more!
That wraps up this week's Heroes' Hall! If you have any questions about NPCs do let us know in the comments section and we'll look to answer them next week.
