An Aspie Life - Controls

Hey there guys

Firstly! I’ve updated the store page to have a more positive spin, based on your feedback. It’s a fine line I’m walking on and I do apologise for it.

Secondly! So, based on the feedback on the game so far. The main point of issue has to do with the controls. I had a feeling this would be an issue, therefore, let’s fix this!

The current controls are…

----Overworld----

  • Arrow and - Walking
  • [Down key] - Control sound sensitivity
  • [Enter] - Do action when a pop up appears.
  • [L] - Diary ([k] to move to achievement book)

-----In conversation-----

  • Arrow and - Control Response screen and Conversation screen
  • [Any key in letters and numbers] on keyboard to input response.
  • [Down] and [Up] key. To move to different commands on Response screen
  • [A] key on conversation screen to move forward in speaking.
  • [control] for talking diary

Now a better Tutorial would go a long way to improving the players understanding of the controls. But some keys should change to make it less confusing.

----Overworld----

The players walking keys arrow and I believe are fine. As well as the [down] key to control sound sensitivity and [enter] for action. [L] for diary I believe should be changed to something more accessible. Perhaps [shift]? Let me know below what you think would be optimal.

-----In conversation-----

The conversation has the most issues by far. and work well, as well as [enter]. [up] and [down] also I think work well for changing options in the game. But the [A] key to get the next line of text, needs to be changed. Again, comment below what you believe it should be changed to.

Alright, see you all next time!
