SEASON OF DESOLATION

++++ SEASON ++++

Attention Commanders!

Season of Desolation is Live!
Following a devastating nuclear war that has plunged Earth into a perpetual Nuclear Winter, nations are in fierce competition for scarce resources and nuclear stockpiles as governments lie in ruin. Scientists have set up global research facilities to aid planetary recovery, but these sites have quickly become contested as countries seek to control the technology that could change the face of war. In this emerging new order, power lies with those who can dominate the planet’s recovery efforts.

Introducing the new Mountain infantry
In this new frozen world, the terrain has shifted, and not all soldiers or units are equipped for the harsh conditions. To address this challenge, we’re introducing a first for the game: A unit variant!
The Mountain Infantry, a specialized unit designed for optimal performance in mountainous and tundra terrains. However, be aware that their expertise in these environments comes at a cost, while they excel in these areas, they lose effectiveness in other terrains, such as desert or jungle environments.

How do I access this infantry variant?
Achieving this is straightforward! Simply research your Motorized Infantry, and you'll gain access to the Mountain Infantry, ready to be deployed in the appropriate terrain.

Stims
This season, we’re introducing a new feature to Conflict of Nations: Stims!
Stims will be strategically airdropped shortly after Season release! This game changing addition allows you to significantly enhance your control over military power. Stims give you the ability to temporarily boost the effectiveness of your units, providing a powerful edge in strategic battles. With just a click, you can activate these buffs, giving your forces an impressive surge in strength.

How Do Stims Work?
To use Stims, you'll need a special resource called Pharmaceuticals. You can acquire Pharmaceuticals by constructing a Secret Weapons Lab, or by acquiring them from the in-game resource market. Once you’ve gathered enough, research the Stims and apply them to any of your units to give them a temporary attack buff. Once the buff is applied the unit will indicate the duration and the effectiveness of the buff. Stims can be researched in 3 tiers, one being more powerful than the other.

Stims in 4 simple steps:

  • Build a Secret Weapons Lab
  • Research the Stim
  • Produce Pharmaceuticals
  • Apply to any infantry of your choice

This is just the beginning for Stims. Currently, there's only an attack buff, but rest assured, a variety of additional buffs will be coming to the game in the future.

Nuclear Winter - Domination

  • Player Count: 100
  • Scenario Speeds: 1x & 4x
  • Coalition Limit: 3

Control Points award Victory Points, shifting the focus from expanding territories to managing critical resources. Players must secure and hold various types of Control Points. This task isn't as simple as it sounds as each point is heavily guarded by a coalition of AI-controlled factions called Enforcers. There are 4 main control points with some sites giving more victory points than others.

Control Points (CPs) generate Victory Points (VPs) every 6 real-time hours.

  • 1x - 6 in-game hours
  • 4x - 24 in-game hours

Victory Conditions:

  • Solo Victory: 4000 VPs.
  • Two-Player Coalition: 8000 VPs.
  • Three-Player Coalition: 12000 VPs.

Control Point Types:

  • Type A - 15 VPs: Victory Sites (e.g., Wind Farms)
    • Guarded by 2 Enforcer Infantry & 1 Armored Fighting Vehicle.

  • Type B - 5 VPs: Atmospheric Restoration Labs

    • Guarded by 2 Enforcer Infantry & 1 Combat Recon Vehicle.

  • Type C - 5 VPs: Oceanography Stations

    • Guarded by 2 Enforcer Infantry & 1 Corvette.

  • Type D - 1 VP: Biotech Plants (Player-controlled)

We have deployed several units to support the mission of securing control over these sites.
Each player starts with these units in their capital and cities:

  • Capital: Mountain Infantry, Air Superiority Fighter, Combat Recon Vehicle.
  • Other Cities: Motorized Infantry (2 per city), occasional Combat Recon Vehicle.
  • AI Cities: 1 National Guard.

Season Missions

Dive into these missions to master the new scenario, focusing on powerful new units like the Mountain Infantry, experimenting with nuclear capabilities, and gaining hands-on experience with the Elite Frigate.
