Hello Everyone!
Welcome in the first part of the DevLog series of Don’t Be Afraid!
Today, I would start from the beginning, and tell you a story of an idea for the game and about taking the first steps in creating it.
This fragment is from my (game's author's) private notes:
“The first idea for the name of the game was “They're Watching”.
The idea for the game came to my mind when one day I had reached for a book I read as a child. It was about a boy who lived in an orphanage. Later, I wanted to use this idea differently.
The story of a boy being kidnapped by a psychopath seemed interesting to me, and I've decided to base my first game on it. I wanted the story told in Don't Be afraid through the eyes of a child to make him shiver and give him food for thought. Several times, I've heard a story about small children kidnapped for the organ. I wondered how such a child feels. Fear... the horror... in dark, cramped rooms, the imagination works harder. I was going to show it, in Don't Be Afraid.“

Wait for more dark secrets soon...
