0.06-RC3 will be out for testing within the hour! Over the past few weeks we have been working on major database upgrades, a marble skin store, and aditional ranking leaderboards for players to compete globally.
Behind the scenes database upgrades
We are now tracking a variety of user stats which will be accesible in the Extras Leaderboards menu. Global Rank, Level, Gems, Distance and Deaths can be compared with other users.
Please be aware that this is the first live test of the new database systems, and you may run into issues. We apologize for any inconveniences, and ask you submit any bug reports to our Steam Community Forums.
- How do Global Ranks work?
Your global rank is calculated based on your skill level and how much you play the game. Everyone will start from 0, it will be quick to climb up the ranks if you are committed enough, but also not too discouraging for newer players who start at a skill disadvantage.
- Marble Store/Skin Roster
Playing the game will reward you with Gems to spend in the Skin Store. Each day 8 different skins will be up for sale in the store. You can earn gems by leveling up and completing levels.
There are 58 skins total; common, uncommon and rare. Each day the roster will feature 4 commons, 3 uncommons and 1 rare skin, all with different prices.
Once you have bought these skins they can be accessed and applied at anytime in the Inventory menu. Can you collect them all?
- Server upgrades
You should never have any downtime which was a rare issue before.
A long with this, times and stats will never be lost again as the new systems allow complete control and flexability. With this comes increases to cheat-detection, we can now properly ban offending users from competing in any of the leaderboards!
- Two New Levels!
We are now at 82 total levels! 22 more since the first release! Extended Bunny and Rolling Hills can be found in the Bonus stage selection screen.
