Compass Update

Hi everyone!

An update went live across all three versions earlier which added a new navigational feature to Mutiny Island.

--1.02 PATCHNOTES--

FEATURES:

Introducing the on-screen compass!

The compass points to nearby important NPCs, Temporary Rafts, Treasure, Entrances/Exits and more! You can toggle the compasses size within the options menu. You may have noticed that the compass was present in earlier development footage, but ultimately it was removed for launch with the hope of increasing the difficulty. I see in retrospect it wasn't the best decision and I do apologize to anyone who may have felt overwhelmed when starting the game for the very first time. The compass will be available on new runs.

BUG FIXES:

When opening up the menu on a Temporary Raft the default choice will no longer hover over the options selection by default.

QOL FIX:

Default sprint times have been slightly increased.

--END PATCH NOTES--

Since launching last week there have been a few updates released which addressed the largest complaints in the game.

Here's a recap:
Additional small tutorial in the beginning
Navigational on-screen compass
You no longer need to be in the water to place down a raft.

Mutiny Island on its surface may seem like an ARPG but at its heart, it's got the structure of a basic rouge-lite, survival game. Randomized loot, enemies, and resources mean you will rarely approach two different playthroughs in the same way.

Mutiny Island was designed with the basic idea of being dropped on a deserted island after a Mutiny and doing whatever was necessary to survive and formulate a plan to reclaim your ship based only on the information that you have received on your way. The Red Dawn is constantly moving around the game's world and can appear in your region when you least suspect it which means playthroughs are vastly different for people. If you were expecting more of a traditional RPG experience I do apologize. I did try my best to show as much footage and even gameplay footage before launch as I could.

Thank you for all the feedback thus far. I will continue updating the game based on what you all recommend. If you run into any bugs or issues please post them in the forums so they can be fixed quickly. Please keep in mind that if there are bugs that they will likely be language/version specific as each language is its own separate build.
