Weekly update #5

Dear Furballs,

Every week, I'll post a "Weekly update" to let you know what is going on in the colorful world of VR Furballs. This is the episode 5 :)

HAPPY 1 MONTH ANNIVERSARY!

February is here! VR Furballs - Demolition has been on Steam for a month already. You are now more than 300 players, and 11 of you finished the game. Thanks to everyone who dared joining the adventure during the Early Access period!

For those who are interested, I created a Discord channel so that:

  • We can chat directly about the game (ideas, current and future features, bugs, etc...)
  • You can have an early look, help and advise me on the new features / levels as they are being built.
  • You can play and help testing the new features / levels before anyone else.

DELAYED

Development got slower since the release of the game, since I'm spending a lot of time on marketing and exchanging with some of you. This means that the planned launch date will probably get pushed a bit. It won't be in February, so most likely in March. Sorry about that! The good news is that it gives you more time to join the Early Access Level Creation Contest!

WEEKLY COVERAGE

This weeks we've got 3 new videos of 3 VR Furballs - Demolition pros :)

Thanks a lot guys! Really enjoy watching you play! Once more, every article, video, review, comment, like, share, etc... will help us immensely, so thanks to all of you who try to help.

GAME UPDATE

Once more I didn't get as much dev time as I hoped I would. There was only one update made today with the following changes:

  • New: Added a Progression panel that sums up all your Stars, online ranks and completion for each weapon.
  • New: Added a Quit tower (behind you in the Home area).
  • Improvement: Improved Swatty tutorial to explain better that you shouldn't hit the golden blocks from the side.
  • Bugfix: Fixed Icy not able to kill the Baddies on the Christmas tree when hitting them from the Redirectionners.
  • Bugfix: Fixed Slowmo tutorial not blocking the Hit the Bombs mini-game sometimes.

Here is the list of the known and fixed bugs:

WHAT'S NEXT

Here is the plan for next week:

  • Display Redirectionner trajectory in the Level Editor. [DONE]
  • Prevent usage of Mushrooms in the Hit the Bomb mini-game (it's too easy for a giant). [DONE]
  • Use different Motion Controller weapon type icons for each platform (since it is a Vive controller for every platform now). [DONE]
  • Add one or more additional languages. [DONE]
  • Try to fix the brightness / colors being wrong when you start the game from the World 4 (night time environment). [DELAYED]
  • Build more levels!

Don't hesitate to give us feedback about the game, to report bugs, or to give us ideas. VR Furballs was created for you, so we'd love to hear what you think about it!

Thanks again to everyone playing VR Furballs - Demolition! See you next week!
