Praise be to the horror make! Wooden Ocean was selected by Haunted House FearFest 2025!
To be honest, I don't know much about this festival, except it's mostly or entirely online and accepts dark fantasy video games as a submittable genre.
Now, I know what you're about to say, hey Leif, who is the coolest and most murda person to ever exist in the entire universe and watches dragonball z with the altar on the regular, isn't the Ocean of the Wood NOT a horror game? I thought it was an open world insert madness game?
And you would be correct! Wooden Ocean is NOT a horror game! But it does have a horror aesthetic damnit! Especially in the prologue! (and also, as stated before, they accept dark fantasies) So therefore, submission!
However, that submission was a few days late, so uhhhhhh... despite being accepted, it won't be getting much coverage during the event. Is what it is.
But hey, don't let my mistakes stop you from checking out the other games! Who knows, there might be a hidden gem or two. (I actually don't know, I haven't checked out any of them yet)
Anyways, Wooden Ocean will be 50% off during the entirety of the festival.
