Okay, progress in Global Leaderboards for Rock 'N Roll...
While I'm still having some issues getting the leaderboard scores to show up on the game itself when you launch it, the game DOES send your high scores to Steam and the full high score list of all Steam users can be seen HERE:
http://steamcommunity.com/stats/665930/leaderboards/2212736/
Either clicking the link above or following these steps will take you to live current high scores for Rock 'N Roll:
1) Click the COMMUNITY HUB from the Rock 'N Roll Store page (upper right) 2) Looking in the upper right, click the drop down by VIEW STATS and then click "Global Leaderboards"
Once I get everything working, when you launch Rock 'N Roll, the main game screen will show the top 15 Steam names and their scores and it will update these scores every time you enter the main title screen of the game.
Also, if you save the world (the goal of the game), you'll be awarded a whopping 50 MILLION points at the end of your game.. This was implemented to make it easy to see on the global leaderboards who saved the world and put those valiant heroes who succeeded in saving our home planet at the top of the scores on Steam. - After all, it wouldn't make much sense to have people who failed to save the Earth potentially higher than those who did just because they accumulated more points! ;-)
New to the game is the addition of immediate points when you pick up a resource to make resource gathering even more rewarding during the battle against the rocks. The selling of resources between levels hasn't changed, this is just an added point bonus and the points for each resource can be seen in the chart below.
Also, to help out interested players, here is a quick reference chart on how much each resource is worth, showing you the scores and formulas used by the game both when resources are picked up in the game and when they are sold at the Galactic Space Station between levels:
