Time for another Development Update on the Road to Full Release. You can read the original Roadmap Announcement here:

Below is a list of the goals and the progress that has been made on them so far.
Note when something says "Done" that doesn't mean I'll never add more to it, it simply means I'm happy with where it is for now and moving on to other things. After leaving early access I will very likely come back to many of these to add more to them or make changes to improve them.
Also, changing the format of this to hopefully make it easier to read.
IN PROGRESS
Replace the placeholder monsters.
- Almost all of the new monsters are done, with just two remaining. They have concepts and the 3D artist is working on the models. He's currently focused on the weapons and armor though so expect this to remain "in progress" for a while.Replace the placeholder weapons and armor.
- All weapons and armor have concept art. 3D modeling has started. I should have some 3D models to show soon!Replace the placeholder trees and flora.
- The large trees are done as are the small trees, bushes, rocks, and flowers. Updating the map itself with all of these new assets is going to be a big undertaking but I hope to start on it soon.Add some more uses for alchemy ingredients other than potions.
- In progress. Added alchemy to the tunic dying system in Alpha 10.1. I'm not sure if I'll add more before leaving EA, but for now calling this in progress rather than done.Controller support.
- Support for character controls is done. Movement, combat and quests are working, as is looting, inventory, and skill points. Basically the core gameplay of adventuring works with a controller. I still need to add building placement, crafting, and the other various UI. Big undertaking!Add some kind of fast travel system
- In progress. I have the teleport platform and teleport stones working. Now I need to decide how and where you can go on the map.More quests.
- In Progress. Let's just say this will never be "done". :) I have added a bunch of new quests and will continue to add more. The sewer map has also been updated and not only looks better, but is also set up for more quests.
DONE
Add character skills system.
- Done and released in build 9.3!
Add some more life to the town.
- Done, implemented in 11.3. Implemented "town wandering" for Workers and Shopkeeper activities. I plan on adding more shopkeepers to this, but so far the Alchemist and Herbalist are both using it.
Alerts for when your town is low on a resource and other important messaging.
- Done, released in Alpha 9.4!
More customization.
- Done! Added skin tone options and new tunic colors. I'll probably add more things as well but for now I'm happy with the character customization.
Add some more items to place in your home.
- Done. Added monster head trophies. Will also remake the armor and weapon decor once the new armor and weapons are in.
Make a new HammerHelm logo.
- Done!
NOT STARTED YET
Add a few more points of interest to the map.
- Not started yet.
Add more meaningful events for the townspeople.
- Not started yet.
Add some more Steam Achievements.
- Have a list but haven't started development yet.
The DONE section keeps getting bigger while the NOT STARTED YET section is down to just three things. ːsteamhappyː I really appreciate the feedback on all of the updates and hope you are enjoying seeing them as much as I am enjoying making them!
In addition to everything above, I also have some other things in progress:
- New sound effects for the Fire and Ice Elementals, so they won't sound the same as the Earth Elementals. If this goes well, I might have some more sounds made as well.
- Some more new trees, including the cherry blossoms, weeping willows, and a pine tree.
- Some more quests for Grrrumble. I really like this character and want to expand on him more. Also hoping to add some more special characters, but those will likely be after leaving early access.
- And something special that I don't want to talk about just yet. It's not a big thing, but it's something special to me and I hope you like it.
I'm not quite ready to post a date for leaving early access just yet, but based on the above lists I think we're getting close. The largest undertakings are going to be redoing the world map, finishing controller support, and getting all of the new art completed and set up in game. So don't quote me on this, but I'm hoping for some time this summer or early fall. We'll see how things progress, but I think it's safe to say that barring something unforeseen, we're on track for sometime this year!
