Greetings, Heroes!
Due to small lull in terms of updates for Hero's Story, I would like to again share with you details of development of the game.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who supported the project and wrote a review in the comments in the relevant discussion topics! I remind you that all found errors can (and should) be reported to the appropriate topic . Your suggestions to improve the gameplay please write here . Also feel free to write to the support email address if your problem requires urgent attention - for example, buttons for AZERTY keyboards were included in the control scheme this way!

Secondly, not all of the planned content managed to fit in the first two weeks after the release of the game in Early Access, and there are several technical reasons for that.
For example, when creating the Cave location, I used old 3D models designed for Unity. When imported to Unreal, these models fell apart into hundreds of pieces, lost collision and scale. This is due in part to the fact that you can not directly import prefabs from Unity to Unreal, and, of course, it is very inconvenient.
However, the problem with the collision was solved with just one tick, but with the pieces had to work - in the case of Mines, every tunnel, every lantern, every segment of the path was going (or rather-reassembled!) manually, which led to additional time costs. The problem with the scale (size) is present in all game engines, and there is no escape from it.

Also in the Cave for the first time there were problems with the light, which were partially solved by installing torches there, as well as adding a post process and changing its settings. In any engine, there are restrictions on the number of light sources, as well as features of their interaction (for example, in Unreal, point light sources simply turn off each other when superimposed). And so far, some levels in the game are too dark, and some are too light, so the light will still await adjustments.

The third thing I would like to talk about is plans for the near future.
In terms of settings, it is planned to add ability to invert the mouse, because for some of you it was vital. In terms of locations - to update the Expanse (the first and so far the only open area available to players), to make it bigger.
In terms of enemies - on waiting lists there are outlaws and one more type of skeletons. Outlaws will be waiting for you at night!

Also I hasten to please you that the next update for Hero's Story Early Access is scheduled for the end of this week!
Be strong. Sincerely, Silentplaygames.
