It took a bit longer than usual, but version 1.0.4 of Vinyl Reality is now available!
This update focuses on improving the record case's functionality. New features include support for loading several new file formats and displaying track meta data, including BPM.
If a file contains meta data about the track's BPM (Beats Per Minute), this value can now be shown on the turntable's pitch slider. This can be a useful feature for beginners who want to for example practice their beatmatching techniques. This option can easily be disabled using the settings panel on the application's display mirror.
If a track does not yet contain BPM meta data, it can be added by analyzing it in an external application such as Traktor or MixMeister.
Due to the reading of meta data, opening folders which contain a lot of tracks will now take significantly longer than before, but this will be optimized in the next update. The next update will also add several tools to make streaming your Vinyl Reality sessions more interesting and entertaining.
