Version 1.1.5 of Vinyl Reality is now available. This update adds a lot of small features and improvements across the application.
Record Case Table
An often requested feature was to make the height of the record case adjustable, so I’ve added an adjustable table for the record case to all environments. The angle of the record case’s lid can also be adjusted by grabbing it at the top. This should make the application more ergonomic for all users and also allow it to be used from a seated position.
Streaming Console Auto-Switching
The streaming console now also has an auto-switch feature, which will automatically toggle between different camera perspectives in sync with the music. For more details on how to use this new feature, please refer to the manual, or the newly created Vinyl Reality Wiki page on the topic.
The plan is to add more topics to the Wiki in the coming weeks.
LIV Mixed Reality Capture
The LIV SDK has also been integrated into the SteamVR version of Vinyl Reality, which should make it easier to create Mixed Reality videos.
SDK update
And last but not least, I’ve also released a new version of the SDK (v1.1), which enables the use of the streaming console (including spectator cameras) in user created environments. You can download the latest version of the SDK from the Vinyl Reality website: https://vinyl-reality.com/sdk/
If you’re keen on trying out some custom environments created using the SDK, be sure to download the Beach Party environment (shown in the image at the top of this post) created by Praaly from his website: https://vr.praaly.fr/home.php
