Sniper Elite V2 Game Support - Updated 18th May 2012
System, DirectX, Drivers, Drivers (or S-triple-D for short)
There are four things that someone is going to check when you email in your dxdiag.txt to the support email address (if you remember to attach it to your email). They are Operating System (version and service pack), Direct X version 11, Graphics drivers and Sound Drivers. The main thing to point out that when we say "Update your drivers!" what we mean by this is not JUST your graphics drivers, but your Sound Card drivers as well.
80% of the problems we've fixed so far have been driver related and you can save yourself time and get to play our excellent game sooner by following our guide below.
First up, you will need to do a bit of digging to understand what your hardware is. The easiest way to do this is by using DXDIAG.
Running Direct X Diagnostic Tool (DxDiag)
1. Click the Start menu and in the ‘Search Programs and Files’ or ‘Run’ field type ‘dxdiag’, then hit the enter key.
2. This will start the diagnostic tool and it will scan your PC. When it finishes click the button which says ‘Save All Information...’ and save the text file to a location on your desktop.
Now that you have that file, double click on it to open it in notepad and we can start to see what hardware you have.
First up is the System information, relevant sections in bold.
