Here's our first software update!! Get downloading :D
This update is in direct response to your feedback since going into early access, so thank you and keep it coming.
Much of this patch is focussed on improving the information we give to our new players who are discovering the game for the first time, we've watched a lot of Twitch streams and YouTube videos and realised that things aren't necessarily as clear to a new player as we thought they were. This is exactly why we're doing early access.
Patch notes: 12th January 2018
• Online weekly tournament registration countdown, please go sign up!
• Improvements to the solo queue matchmaking with a progress bar and messaging when searching/finding players
• Discord details notification on boot - enhanced signposting to Discord for our new players so that they can find the competition.
• Frontend menu tidy up with PvE Practice moved under the PLAY menu
• Added messaging to clarify PvE Practice purpose (to learn map/controls and test game settings)
• Updated controls hint screen to make the sniper scope control clearer
• Controls hint screen added to the in-game menu
• Balancing tweaks to character movement speeds and end zone placement
• Many many performance and stability improvements,
○ Most notably for players with AMD FX chipsets - thanks to @demonicskiller for your feedback on this, it should make things a lot better for you! I'm sure you'll let us know ;)
○ Fix for characters not loading in immediately at the start of a round
○ Fix for broadcaster control buttons being available before the start of a round
• Please do make use of the discord to report new bugs, I'm thinking of retiring the forum as discord seems to be a better place for the community to live at least for now, let me know what you think ...
