The robots have studied the mankind archives for a long time and managed to learn that a portal of evil spirits will open on the last night of October. In order to prevent the catastrophe, they've replaced all the buildings in the city and their own robo-heads... with pumpkins.
While seeds are inside of their heads instead of microcircuits, you can take an advantage of the situation and hit them in the "pumpkins".
