“Ace of Spades” is the sixth free update for Steel Division: Normandy 44. It will feature not one, but two of the free content announced in our roadmap: two cosmetic Aces and the first Attack/Defense scenarios. Let’s check what it’s all about.
Free Attack/Defense scenarios: In Breakthrough, the first available Attack/Defense set of scenarios, the Attacker only controls a small portion of the field during the deployment phase, and his mission is to take and hold the objective. On the other side, the Defender controls the largest part of the map at the beginning of the game, and must retain control of the objective and inflict enough losses to the Attacker’s forces.
While playing an Attack/Defense scenario, you will no longer receive your requisition points every minute, but get all the phase’s points at the beginning of this one. You will be able to play Breakthrough in solo and multiplayer. Breakthrough situations will be available in 1v1 on 4 variants of existing maps, playable both in attack and defense.

Free Ace pack: This pack introduces two new exclusive ace models:
- For the 3rd Armored, Lafayette 'Wardaddy' Pool: the greatest American tank ace up to this day with 12 confirmed tank kills and another 258 armored vehicles destroyed.
- For the 91. Luftlande, Alexander Uhlig: the first paratrooper to join I. Bataillon/Fallschirmjäger-Regiment 1.
