I've noticed a lot of people have been notifying me about the black screen bug. This is due to the game defaulting in fullscreen, and fullscreen is not compatible with Steam. This is a non-repairable issue and it's in the game's engine I'm afraid.
BUT! There is a small fix to run the game perfectly in a variety of different sized windows. All you need to do is run the game from steam. You will then be presented with the external game settings box (below). All you need to do is check the run game in a window box. That's it! It should run fine after this.
