Hello Miners,
Just a little over a week before Season 03: Plaguefall reaches us! Many of you likely already tuned in to the premiere of the new Narrated Trailer, but for the rest of you, here it is.
We know that you can hardly wait, so let’s break down the new features you get to experience.
New Seasonal Event - Meteor Impact
Infected meteoroids carrying a dormant form of Rockpox are crashing into Hoxxes. This new disease literally infects the very rock where we work (and our livelihoods as a result). You will have the chance to come across one of these meteor strikes during your regular missions. Call down Rock Cracker modules from the Space Rig and hook them up to the meteoroid before the Plague Hearts inside react to the environment. Oh, and bring back the hearts if you can, R&D will be very grateful. Remember to handle it with care.
New Warning - Lithophage Outbreak
Some missions will now contain Rockpox infection. Besides your regular mission objective, you are also expected to clean out the infection. We expect a non-toxic workplace, Miners, and everyone has to do their part. Use the new anti-contamination tools whipped up by R&D to deal with the Contagion Spikes while avoiding (or eliminating, your choice) the Plague Larva drawn to this plague upon our workplace. Oh, and try not to get any of it on you. You’ll find out why…
4 New Grenades
The first two seasons brought with them new guns in the most imaginative forms and functions that would make any Head of R&D proud. Now, it is time to add some variety to your arsenal of grenades - though we do use the term “grenades” a bit loosely. The Scout gets the Voltaic Stun Sweeper, the Driller gets the Springloaded Ripper, the Engineer will be armed with a literal Shredder Swarm, and the Gunner gets the Tactical Leadburster.
New Performance Pass
Maybe not surprising, but still very exciting, a brand new Performance Pass is coming along with Season 03! With plenty of cosmetic items and resources to earn, this new Performance Pass comes with the usual 100 levels of rewards and a cosmetic tree with plenty of additional goodies unlocked with Scrip. You still have a week left of the Season 02 Performance Pass in case you haven’t completed your collection of Builder’s Choice frameworks. And remember, you can still obtain all the items from the Season 02 Performance Pass once Season 03 launches.
Infected Enemies
Turns out that Rockpox can mutate and spread to organic subjects as well. Be on the lookout for enemies infected with Rockpox, especially around places with high densities of infection.
New DLC - Biohazard Pack

Deal with the Rockpox while looking the part, Miners! The new DLC for Season 03 includes everything you could possibly want in terms of plague-themed additions to your wardrobe. It contains 4 hazmat suits (one for each class), a new helmet with two variants (gas mask on/off), and the Biohazard paintjob. You can wishlist it now.

New Caves
You have done good, Miners. Your diligent effort and high productivity mean we are discovering more of Hoxxes we can mine. You will see dozens of new cave shapes on your future missions, especially during Point Extraction missions.
Season 03: Plaguefall lands on Steam on November 3rd, and on Consoles on November 17th. We have just launched a preview on the Experimental Branch, try it out if you want to help test it before the official launch.
Never has both Rock and Stone been under such a serious threat. Miners - let’s get to work!
With Love
