THE "INFERNO" UPDATE (v1.03)

Hey Killers,

Made some quick fixes for a few things that were causing us to lose some sleep. We wanted to get some of this technical stuff out of the way so we could focus on finishing up a proper FUN update for Halloween (Coming soon!) with a few new kill animations and an awesome new Halloween killer.

NEW(ish) CONTENT

  • Ok ok ok it's not really new but by popular demand we have added FLAC formatted audio files to the Official Game Soundtrack in the DLC Pack. You should just have to exit out of Steam and restart it for the DLC to download the extra FLAC files in the soundtrack folder, now.

BUGS FiXED

  • Resolved an issue that was causing the above NC17 (Super Challenge Mode) level to be totally unbeatable. Some poor mime was standing in the fire for an eternity, dead eyes staring out at the cold, empty world around him as his silent cells slowly crispified. It was fun to watch him not react to being engulfed in flames forever, but it also meant you couldn't beat the level, which was sad for Jessi and she asked me to upload the patch as soon as humanly possible so no one gets stuck for too long.
  • Moar gamepad fixes have been implemented. Things should be getting smoother - still a few things we need to work out but hopefully this is a nice improvement.
  • If you paused the game while a victim is escaping the level, it created a tear in the space time continuum, which led to the victim's DNA being scrambled with a piece of toast's DNA (wait does toast have DNA? Maybe a piece of living toast like a toast-man or something does...). Oh also the level would crash. Anyways this doesn't happen anymore, so don't even worry about whether or not toast has DNA, it has been made irrelevant at least in this specific context.
  • More general tweaks and fixes to improve your play experience. They are so minor and rare that you probably didn't even realize they were there. That didn't stop us from standing behind the programmers' chairs and smacking them in the head with a bag full of orange juice soaked paper towels until these bugs were fixed, though. Believe you me.
