The whole facility has been remodelled, the phone finally feels like a negotiation, and the save system now keeps backups. Almost every line below comes from a report or a review you wrote. Thank you.
A new look
- Everything you build is modelled properly now: the clubhouse and its upgrade floors, changing rooms, restrooms, showers, the VIP lounge, the school classroom, the entrance sign, houses, benches, lamps and the landmarks of every district.
- The canteen grows with its level: an extension, a terrace with umbrella tables and string lights. People queue at it and sit at its tables.
- The car park has a booth with a barrier that lifts as cars arrive, chargers, hedges, and three kinds of car on the roads.
- Pitch-side props are new: floodlight masts, stands with real seats, dugouts, goal frames, perimeter fences, ad boards and corner flags.
- Players, goalkeepers, spectators and staff have hair, caps, kits and gloves. Construction workers wear hi-vis vests and hard hats.
- Trees, bushes, reeds and rocks were replanted across every district, and they change with the seasons: snow on the pines in winter, fallen leaves in autumn.
- Ground textures were repainted: grass, mown pitch stripes that wear at the goalmouths on lower-level pitches, stone pavement, concrete, quay stone, granite and asphalt.
- Building a new pitch now plays a short construction scene, with an excavator, a roller, workers, turf rolls and the sounds to match. The pitch is playable right away.
The phone
- The acceptance chance no longer jumps from likely to impossible. It falls gradually as your price rises, and the price slider shows green, amber and red zones with the customer's mood.
- You get time to read. The countdown is fairer, and you can put the caller on hold once per call while you check the calendar.
- A last-chance warning appears before a caller gives up.
- You can offer canteen treats as part of the deal.
- While a call is open you can click a pitch and read its card next to the call.
Reputation and reviews
- Reputation now follows what customers actually rate. If everyone gives you four stars, your reputation settles around four instead of drifting up on its own. The reviews screen shows the recent average and which way it is heading.
- Stars are earned from the whole visit: pitch condition and level, the facilities that matter to that customer, a fair price, the booking experience, weather and incidents. A single restroom no longer jumps you a full star.
- Reviews say more about what happened, so they stop repeating once your facility is upgraded.
- You can reply to a review: thank, apologise and compensate, explain, or invite the team back. Customers often write back a day or two later.
Running a bigger business
- With a manager on the phone, a large facility actually fills up. Occupancy on a fully built estate went from about 28% to over 90% in our tests, with no calls missed.
- The daily occupancy goal now asks for a step you can really reach instead of a flat 95%.
- Timed opportunities arrive: bigger bookings and offers that need pitches, staff and pricing ready before the deadline.
- Brawls matter. The crowd notices, and banning a team keeps them off your pitches and off the phone.
- Your club, the league and tournaments are pointed out once your facility settles, instead of hiding in the management menus.
Fixes
- Zooming near the bottom of the screen could tip the camera into a side view with the ground filling half the screen. Fixed.
- Saves are protected. A file locked by Steam Cloud or antivirus used to make the slot list look empty, and starting a new game could then overwrite it. Locked slots are now shown as busy, every slot keeps rotating backups, and you can restore a backup from the save screen.
- The day no longer ends while you are on a call, and calls waiting behind you no longer cost reputation.
- The business name on the entrance sign no longer shimmers while you pan at a distance.
Also new
- Press Space, or the pause button next to the speed controls, to hold the clock while you look around.
- The main menu shows news from the studio, so you see what changed without leaving the game.
- The game reports its own crashes and errors automatically, so we can find them without waiting for a report. What is collected is described in the privacy policy on bombastik.studio.
- There is a hidden room for players who like to break the rules. Find the right keys.
