We're 3 days away from launch and we wanted to ensure everyone had a good idea of what our multiplayer matches look like and how they work - as well as share our new launch trailer!

Currently all of our multiplayer maps are 1v1, and we have multiple ways for you to play.
Live Matches
Live Match mode is where you will be playing against another person "live" and with turn timers. This is similar to how Hearthstone and many other turn-based board game and card games work.
Casual Matches
In the game's Casual Match mode, there are no timers, you can have multiple games going at once, and your opponent doesn't have to be online at the same time. Games play out over several days, and you'll get an e-mail (and an in-game notification, if you're online) when it's your turn again.
Hotseat
In Hotseat mode, you play against a friend on the same computer - no internet connection required. Also, if you catch your opponent peeking at the screen during your turn, you're allowed to steal all the money in their real-life wallet.
Custom Rules
Automatch games are ranked and have associated leaderboards. But if you're playing an invite game with a friend, you have the option to customize the game's rules. If this is popular, we'll add more rules-customization options based on community feedback!
