Looking for Games - Using Discord

Hi all,

We've currently got a few different things going on to make multiplayer games consistent. Some focused on promoting the game to get more players in, others are more development focused like basic bots.

But until that's sorted I wanted to make it as easy as possible to schedule games with other players. One good option is to use Highdroid's thread located here:

Another option is to use the new BCDM Discord server to speak with other players and devs to organise games. We have a channel specifically for organising games and letting other players know when you're available to play. If you already know how Discord works, you can join us here:

If you don't know how Discord works, you can think of it as a more gamer friendly version of Skype. You can download the desktop app or simply login through your web browser:
https://discordapp.com/

I've written a quick explanation on how it works below:

1. Server list. You can have multiple servers here which you switch between simply by clicking on them.

2. Text channels. These are the different areas you can chat in, similar to sub-forums. Some you will see like #public and #lookingforgames, and some you won't see because of privileges like #devchat being only for devs.

3. Voice channels. We don't currently have them set up but if there's interest, we can set up voice channels so that players can be on voice comms with each other during games too.

4. Chat area. This is where you type and talk with other players in your currently selected text channel.

5. Member list. These are all the members that are currently in the text channel you have selected. Keep in mind that you're universally 'in' all text channels that you have access to across all servers so you don't disappear from #lookingforgames when you click on #public for example.

It's actually a lot easier to understand than all of the above and you get used to it very quickly :) So whether you're looking to organise games, or just want to come hang out, come join the BCDM Discord server!

Just click on an empty server button on the left, select join server and use this URL:
