Note: For those looking to try out the beta, you can do so by right clicking the game in Steam, going to "Properties", clicking the "Betas" tab, and choosing the "beta" option from the dropdown.
There's a new beta update rolling out now, and it's got some big changes.
The most noticeable change is that Hazegood's Gym has moved to a new location. Also not to be out-done, Duke "The Duke" Bell has a new model.
The auto-calibrator has also had some substantial changes. Apart from a brief window at the start of the match, the force multiplier will no longer be adjusted upward while a match is in progress. The speed cap for what the auto-calibrator would consider for a valid punch to use for calibration has also been removed. If you've been throwing "baseball" punches or whipping your arms to generate high speed hits, these will now be much less effective while the auto-calibrator is on.
There are tons of tweaks and fixes in addition to that. Read over the list below, jump into the beta, and let me know if you run into any problems by emailing me at [email protected] or posting in the feedback thread here. When providing feedback on hit feel and enemy reactions, please keep the auto-calibrator on, as that's what the game is being balanced around. Manual multipliers will vary the damage too much between players to get actionable feedback.
I've moved the previous beta update to the rollback branch so you can revert if you find something game breaking.
NOTICE: Some users are reporting issues with matches taking an extremely long time to load. During the extended load time, the game audio will continue as normal and your desktop monitor will show the game in action, but the headset will continue to show the loading screen. If this is happening to you, please post in this thread and let me know. I'll follow-up there with questions about your setup.
Thanks!

- Tweaked the player's weak point hit zones.
