Note: For those looking to try out the beta, you can do so by right clicking the game in Steam, going to "Properties", clicking the "Betas" tab, and choosing the "beta" option from the dropdown.
I've got a quick and simple update going out to the beta to fix some issues I've noticed after the Oculus launch. First, your play space rectangle was being scaled incorrectly with your height. The opponent still stayed within the correct area, but you'd appear to have more or less space depending on how tall you were. Second, I found that the Oculus setup was offsetting users from their room scale center position, and I've found a solution for that. When you try out this beta, whether you're a SteamVR or Oculus user, please pay attention to the floor bounds and let me know if they appear to be incorrect.
If you see any problems, let me know in
the feedback thread here or by emailing me at [email protected].
Thanks!
Update Notes:
- Fixed bug causing play area rectangle to scale incorrectly with player height.
- Native Oculus mode now offsets the tracking origin to match the play area center point.
- Changed center point marker to appear as an arrow instead of a cross. This arrow should always point towards the forward direction you defined when you set up your headset.
