Virtual Fighting Championship is a PVP focused VR fighting game. Their combat system scales its damage with the force of your swings. It also prevents mindless flailing by temporarily weakening a player when they take a hard hit. You'll need to pay attention to what your opponent is doing, keep up a good defense, and make your swings count.
If you're not interested in the character abilities, VFC does plan on adding a mode where they are disabled. For now you can likely find another TotF player who feels the same way and pair up with them.
It may be hard to find a match outside of peak times, so feel free to post on the TotF or VFC forums to coordinate fights with other players.
